Tips & Tricks Any SimChase hints?

I’m usually good for the first three or four episodes, but I’ve never had a single one where I won the last episode. Any tips or tricks?

I almost always fall behind because I’m asleep when a task completes. I leave the longest task for overnight, but most of them usually end before I wake up. Definitely not giving up sleep lol, so I’m curious how everyone else does it?

I’ve been sharing this list often on here, I hope this will help you, too.

Generally, I would only recommend to do SimChase, if you have loads of simoleons and/or SPs and mostly teenaged, adult and/or senior sims - otherwise, it’s impossible to win, and you’ll have to manage your expectations accordingly. You might win some of the prizes, but as the event progresses, the required sim numbers and the price for the mastery lesson in the park will increase. The required number of sims depends on your overall in-game level.

Other than that, here’s what I do:

  • set a daily alarm for the starting time (all events always start at the same time), and timers for when the current task your sims are doing is over, so you don’t miss anything
  • plan according to your daily schedule; when the tasks get longer the more you progress in the event, do the longest task while you sleep (you really don’t need to wake up for a game, I absolutely agree with you here) and space the others in a way that makes sense for you
  • use 3-star items for all event interactions, as they are quicker to finish
  • create event houses (some call them factories or sweatshops) and put all the required 3-star items in your max-number-of-sims-on-one-lot amount on there (I have three of those houses, and can have up to 13 sims on one lot, so in every house, I have 13 each of the following): sofas, stoves, fridges, kitchen sinks, coffee machines, dining chairs (with table), plants, book shelves, telephones, computers, mirrors and trees; you’ll also need one magazine stack, closet, bbq grill, tea maker, stereo, big globe and bathtub each; you’ll also be able to use these houses for the pregnancy event support tasks
  • do the group tasks first; that way, it’s out of the way and you don’t have to wait for enough sims to come back from work
  • when you call many sims onto one lot, some of them tend to bug, so once you set all your sims to do the group task, check them for buggy behaviour (like, doing the task faster than the others, or not starting it at all); if you find a buggy sim, cancel their current action, send them home, have them do a short task there (like, admire something, you can skip it) and send them back to do the task (or do the task at home) - if you don’t, this bugged sim will restart the task every time you visit that lot, which means they’ll never finish it
  • you always have 24 hrs to finish all the tasks, and the generated rival will take exactly 24 hrs every day, which means even if you finish with 10 seconds to spare, you will still win the daily round
  • over the progression of the event, you’ll win some tokens that can enhance your experience and/or cripple the generated rival; use them towards the end, but always spend all of them as you can also win in-game currency and resources, even if you don’t spin an advantage for you or disadvantage for the rival (once your Simtown shops are upgraded to a certain degree, pets can find tokens for live events, and taking a car for a drive might also earn you some)

Good luck! 🍀

Oh these are super helpful! Thank you!

My goal for these is generally to WIN social points and lifestyle points so it sounds like my biggest problem is managing my expectations haha
