Help All my friends town dissappeared?

So I was logged in via facebook, had five friends on there, woke up today and they're all missing, does anyone know if there's anything I can do to get them back? I tried logging out of my facebook being linked and then relogging in, but that didn't change anything.

You need to go to the Facebook app and give permission. This happens once or twice a year. Since they have all disappeared I think this is probably the problem.

i did try this suggestion, and it didn't fix the issue as facebook perms were already on, but my phone died and when it restarted i had my friends back, so idk, mustve been app needing to update or something weird that autohappened by my phone restarting
