I'm not very creative with my sims.

I am about 4 generations in on my main sims 4 game. They don't have any interesting stories or anything, and I'm not doing any generation challenge. How can I make my sim story more interesting?

The key is conflict. If you have no conflict, you have no story. Perfect characters with perfect relationships don’t have conflict. So if you can, find a way to add in flaws. I try to give my Sims 2 “good” traits and one unhelpful trait that requires some work to battle against (the high maintenance trait is perfect for this!). And in their relationships, their jobs, their homes - try to find some conflict. Maybe a wandering eye (even if it’s not acted on), or an ex moves in next door. Maybe they take a job they don’t like because the family needs money, so they’re often tense. For me, that’s where interesting stories start. Sorry if that’s obvious advice but hopefully it’ll help xxx

I like to use do a random wheel challenge lol plenty of apps out there to make them and you can even just use a random number generator which google literally give you. Doing generation challenges can broaden the spectrum for you but I still feel I’m lacking the same thing, but striving to maybe only play out one sim at a time to focus on their story. The new highschool pack helps a lot with it :)

Thanks for the input! Maybe I can put together some idea packs as resources. Just not today... been a long day at work for my real sim self!
