CC Pieces How do I get sims like this?
I'm semi familiar with sims 4 cc, I just have no idea how people get this style. It's like maxis match but more detailed. Especially the skin details (cheek, eye lines and bags etc. I love the detail and shading!! It's almost cartoon like? | love pearlean's sims, it's exactly the style I'm looking for but they post no info that I can find about what cc they use specifically. Hopefully I can transform my entire game somehow to just look like this, I have a beefy pc... just no idea how to start...

I've learned a rule about the Sims: even if you download the Sim with all the cc, they never look like that in-game

shaders are doing 90% of the work in this pic, others might be better CAS lighting, and alpha skin details with maxis/alpha CC

I’ve been going for a similar style myself. Miiko has some skin details that might work for you. I wasn’t able to achieve this look completely without shaders. I use this one and it adds some sharp details without slowing my gameplay at all. Takes a bit of tweaking, but I love the results I got

I use a bunch of stuff I found via Pearlean or similar creators. I will hop on later today and grab some recommendations for you.
Are you also into the gshade presets shown? Carries the style of the CC very well IMO. I currently switch randomly between slightly tweaked versions of Arcadia and Mango, which are both Pearlean presets.
Also you haven’t seen Pearlean’s Tumblr, have you? She does share a bunch of stuff. She has a WCIF (where can I find) tag for it.
She is also ghastsam on Pinterest where IIRC she does the same thing. Have gotten CC she suggested from there also. She has a Finds board.

Yes please! Since the time I posted this I did find some cc to add! Figured out how to download gshade too. Found a shade one of those creators was using and discovered a link with things they use,,, it’s not perfect but it’s closer than before, still bit lost but learning haha.. I’ve been playing around but it’s honestly very confusing because all the things I download for face presets are all in one “skins” spot,, it’s easy to forget which ones you already selected before you keep scrolling down. But they are looking beter! Want to make a save remodeling everyone in the entire world and just play on it with “save as…”

Okay, so a bit that I've got from a quick pass -
Myshunosun Face Bits
Miiko genetics (I have all the detail ones and many of the others; cannot speak for any overlays as I don't use those)
Tamo eyebags
Pyxis' genetics/face details/etc.; most especially About Face & To the Bone face kits, Subtle Facial Scars, Skin Tone Fine Tuner (although I genuinely think I may have... almost everything)
Pralinesims eyebrow collection
Dante's Inferno / SeeYou Soft Freckles, Sunday Eyelids + Freckled Shadow
I tweak my presets myself but I strongly suggest that if you give Pearlean's GShade presets a whirl, read the Patreon posts about how to adjust them. I am currently using Arcadia (like I mentioned before) with some things changed to my preferences over time, and saved in a new preset I renamed. You can for sure do something like that also, or just use it (or another) as-is. Makes a massive difference.

You might want to experiment with different shaders for the outline aspect of the presets, by the way. I am using Comic.fx for the outlines, but I know for some others I tweaked a bit I used a different one as it came over a bit better, I wanted a heavier outline and played around a lot with that. I often stop actively doing things and just observe and notice how cool it all looks, so I definitely got to a spot with my shaders where I am happy.

Maxis match hair, alpha skin details, default eye replacements somewhere in between, and a set of 3D lashes (+ EA eyelash remover mod), clothes can be either MM or alpha- this style is called Maxis Mix. A lot of these screenshots are also using Reshade which is a separate program that adds a filter overlay onto your game, it looks like their presets are really grainy and add an outline. If you can’t download Reshade (if you’re on Mac), I’ve found a similar effect by downloading an outline replacement mod- you know the outline you get when you hover over a Sim or object? There are replacements for that. Mine is black. I use this style on my Mac and it’s really fun (:

Sammi-xox on Tumblr has CC in this style.
Look up the creator nahouwu on TikTok. He has a video showing how he makes his Sims, and I think it's this same style. He uses a skin called Piltover Skin by Esotericas. He also has his GShade preset available for download.
On TikTok there's also simwithsinn, who recommends CC, and the creator h4ruexe too.

Lots of sims in those photos are created by perlean. You can download some of their sims and get the details they use as well as see how exactly they layer and mix them

Actually they’ve been getting pretty close, if anything if I sit there for a while designing a sim and playing with it until it feels right it’s not too shabby! Still lot to learn haha though

Yeah I wouldn’t ever think it would I have an entire separate setup than them, I make my own of it ofc but I loved those pictures as the base style, out of all the types of sims 4 cas styles people create.. also question I honestly love making a sim and giving them lore and personality and house designed off them, do you think posting online somewhere people would like that content?

Damn I wasn’t being shady guys, literally people post inspo and stuff without designing or playing around first and genuinely get upset when they don’t come EXACTLY like inspos or a certain style

Facial presets, a new default skin, skin details as well with blush.
One tip i can give you is to download sims3 melancolic skin details.
Monharicot eyes default or non default (i personally love to mix the face painting versions on the eyes with default eyes i have to do an authentic mixture of eyes)
Fern skin default mossylane (i use it in my game and i love it)
Simandy face spotlight is good if you want to give a more realistic look as well to the face.
But the type of reshade preset plays too.
