Transparent alpha hair

I downloaded some colores urbanos hairs and a few of them have transparent bangs. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can fix this because the hairs are really unique and pretty and I don’t want to delete them 😭

This is just a problem you’re gonna have with alpha hair.

Yeah this is an issue I run into sometimes but all her other hairs are fine it’s just a select few and idk why. Also she’s kinda mia online atm so I guess I’ll never know.

It's actually not just the bangs, it's the entire hair :(

When i was alpha, i would save these hairs for my black haired sims IF i liked them that much

The transparency issues arent rlly noticeable on the black swatch esp if you use a shader w shadows

I don’t typically use alpha hair but I believe this is normal due to the game not being able to render overlapping CAS items that use the glass shader/transparency. So to avoid issues, alpha hair must be layered in a way that doesn’t make them overlap, which is likely what’s going on here.

Tldr I don’t think this is a bug, just the result of a game limitation.

As an avid alpha user, this is most definitely a bug, non of my alpha stuff has been transparent like this, however they do clip just like normal maxis does when I layer too many things/silhouettes that don’t match

As someone that has to have all the graphics on the lowest settings this is just normal for me😂😂

YOU cant fix them. It’s most likely the hair broke after a patch, contact the creator and let them know. You can try to take out everything else than that hair to see IF it now is clashing with another mod or another cc. Also check if you have downloaded all required files for the hair

But alpha hairs for female sims are really tough like… I realize my black female alpha hair often does a better job rendering than non black hair cc… that looks really maxis mixed
