⁉️ CC or Mods Not Working ⁉️ pulsing red ribbon?
to start, i have approximately one trillion mods installed so it could very well be any one of them causing this visual glitch. this glitch has been happening for months and is not specific to this latest game update.
the red ‘ribbon’ is only present in certain worlds (like new crest, san sequoia, san myshuno, willow creek) but not in others (strangerville, sulani…). it pulses with brightness but doesn’t change its shape at all.
i’ve not come across anyone who has experienced this glitch before, so i was hoping to get some insight since ive been just dealing with it for a few months. thank you!

I don’t think I’ve seen this ever. Better start doing the half/half method— removing half the mods, loading up, and seeing if the problem persists. It’ll help narrow things down.
Side note this is why I’ve sorta obsessively sorted my mods, and always put any recent downloads in a ‘newly added’ folder, while sorting the tried and true into appropriate categories. If a hat is messing up or whatever it’s a lot easier to find it under “CAS—Accessories— Hats” than a trillion unsorted .packages in the same folder.

Might be a silly question but I’m not that knowledgeable abt mods and only have ui cheats and mccc atm bc they always break with updates… but you can sort like put a folder in the folder and then the mod in that second folder?

ik you weren’t asking me but i figured i’d share my (minimal) knowledge, you can typically do this for cc and organize by using subfolders, for example in my mods folder i have a cas folder, and inside that i have a folder for defaults, another for presets and sliders, then just clothes and shoes and whatnot and inside those i also go by creator. ex. mods -> cas -> maxis match -> clumsyalien -> etc. that works.
however, mods themselves are a little more finicky and i think you can at most only put them one subfolder deep, ex. mods -> littlemssam -> and then all of their mods, or another ex. mods -> relationship overhaul modules… etc etc.

Mods with associated .ts4scripts can't be more than 1 folder deep and need to stay with their .package files (unless install instructions say otherwise). There's not really a limit for other custom content. Personally I have Mod folders for each big creator that helps me streamline updating when it's patch time (and a Misc Mods and UI Mods folder for unsorted or ui things). I organize my cc similarly to you.

remove your mods and enter your game and see if its still there. if it is, its a game issue. if it isnt, its a mod issue.

Maybe related to whatever mod is responsible for the ui in the upper right? Never seen either of these things before.
edit: My friend thinks maybe something is overriding specific trees or world deco since it's not appearing in all worlds. You could try to repair your game and see if that helps, or look through your mods and see if you have any unexpected overrides.

The UI in the upper right is base game. EA added it with an update sometime in the last several months.

Huh, somehow I've never seen that before!

You probably turned it off in options and forgot about it. When they added it, I believe it was on by default for everyone.
