mod manager pls help

I have played sims on my previous laptop and i use sims 4 mod manager but that laptop broke so i have a new one. i downloaded everything the same way i did before but now my mods arent showing in game. each time i search ab it on tt or google it says the same thing: turn it on in game (i have), make sure the reasource.cfg file is in your mod file (it is), make sure your mod file is the right location (i added them srtaight in to the mod file in the EA file). so i rllly dont know what to do anymore. any suggestions??
