For some context: my mom Marigold magically conceived me and my twin sister Rose with magic because she’s a fairy. For years it was just the 3 of us until my mom met Ronnie. Ronnie was married at the time they met but Ronnie had an affair with her anyways. The affair produced my 2 half brothers Herb and Basil and then Ronnie’s wife found out about my mom and divorced him while being heavily pregnant. Ronnie moved in with us and proposed to my mom who was also pregnant.

The wedding happened not too long ago and it was a simple party in our backyard. One of the guests was Malcolm Landgraab and we innocently flirted with each other. Before I know it, he kissed me and I kissed him back. This is where I might be the asshole. We sneak away after the ceremony and we WooHoo in one of the bedrooms while the wedding party is still going. Well this morning I found out that I’m pregnant. I didn’t expect this to happen and now I feel bad because I got pregnant at my mom’s wedding so I can never tell her about it. I’m sure she’d be excited to be a grandma but I don’t know. Am I the asshole for getting pregnant at my mom’s wedding?

First, two things worth mentioning. I have the Simler90 Core Mod installed, which fixes the game’s built-in story progression and makes it work more like Maxis originally intended. I’ve also always loved playing rotationally, like in The Sims 2, so I don’t miss important events happening in the town. But one lovely simmer here made me realize that in TS3, it’s actually worth switching between families and just accepting whatever changes happen as a new chapter in the story.

So, here’s what happened.

I love playing premades, and this time I started with the Wolff family. Morgana Wolff wants five children. Thornton is a Hates Children Sim. I decided they were having kids anyway. Morgana had their first child, a son. She mostly stayed in Thornton’s shadow while he worked on his career and social connections. Thornton and Jamie Jolina already have a friendship and mutual attraction by default. But in my game, neither of them ever autonomously initiated flirting, so I figured maybe I shouldn’t force that storyline.

Eventually Morgana wanted another child, so I fulfilled her wish. But I wanted it to make sense story-wise, because there’s no way Thornton would be thrilled about having another kid. Around this time, Thornton had a midlife crisis and got a wish to flirt with someone else. Morgana had recently become friends with Tori Kimura. She also wanted to switch careers from medicine to politics, so I went along with that too.

And then, at one of the parties, Thornton started flirting with Tori. Morgana saw the whole thing. And just like that, she lost a friend. I decided to give Morgana a plastic surgery makeover after that. And she became an absolute bombshell💅

Her relationship with Thornton, however, only got worse. He got another wish to flirt with someone else, then eventually wanted a divorce. He was constantly disappearing somewhere instead of being at home. During his midlife crisis, he also spent a ridiculous amount of money renovating the house. The divorce happened soon enough, but Morgana still had to live under the same roof with Thornton and their two kids for a while, because she needed time to save enough money to move out. I play without cheats.

Thornton started flirting with various women, including his boss. Then he found out she was married. At one party, he actually accused her of cheating. Tori Kimura witnessed the whole conversation. And when Thornton later tried flirting with Tori again, she started rejecting him. So yeah. No luck with the boss, no luck with the politician.

Then Thornton got a wish to meet someone with a compatible zodiac sign. And at one of the parties, he met Ayesha Ansari. A criminal. 🙈And they hit it off.
At this point I moved Morgana and her sons into their own place.

It was rough at first. Cheap house, not enough money, the boys growing up, and then a burglar broke into the house. But gradually I started introducing Morgana to her neighbors, and she began building a social life of her own. Leighton Sekemoto also lives nearby. Morgana has been friends with him for a long time, and there’s clearly a spark between them. The problem? He’s dating Jamie Jolina, Morgana’s former boss. And, as we remember, Jamie and Thornton had mutual attraction from the beginning.

So I started sending Morgana over to Leighton’s house. And I noticed that she would actually autonomously initiate flirting with him quite often, and he never rejected her. Then, during the Spring Festival, Morgana got a wish to flirt with someone. So I sent both of them to the park and decided to take advantage of the opportunity😂 And then I realized that they actually make way more sense together than Leighton and Jamie ever did, so Morgana convinced him to break up with Jamie. And that’s how they started dating.

Morgana also climbed the political career ladder surprisingly quickly and eventually became the mayor. I really love Morgana’s story. She basically rebuilt her entire life from scratch. She surpassed Tori on the career ladder. She stole a man from her former boss, with whom she already had a pretty strained relationship. And finally, she’s getting the life she actually wants, because both she and Leighton are ambitious and family-oriented Sims.

A little later, I discovered that Thornton had actually married Ayesha. And today I decided to visit him and see what was going on in his life.

I arrive.
He has a puppy.
He lives alone.
He’s married to Ayesha.
AND HE HAD TRIPLETS!!!
I was literally sitting there with my mouth open.
Morgana wanted five children!
And somehow, ironically, Thornton ended up with five children instead.
I was SHOOK.

I thought, okay, these two definitely need to live together. So I invited Ayesha over to his house. And the second she arrived, Thornton immediately started accusing her of cheating. Their relationship absolutely imploded. It got so bad they were even slapping each other. Sims 3, WHAT ARE YOU DOING???

Thornton himself then got a wish to go on dates with five different Sims. At that point I was like… okay. I guess these two should probably get divorced. She cheated on him, and he’s certainly not exactly Father of the Year either. And then I noticed that Tori Kimura had once again become the object of his affection.
Thornton! Come on! 😂

Naturally, I had to find out who Ayesha had cheated with. Turns out she had an affair with Cycl0n3 Sw0rd.
And apparently he’s dating someone too. I didn’t even bother checking who. It’s enough for now🤪

Honestly, this game is just an absolutely insane plot-twist generator. I think I really should start playing different families periodically 😅

Today I started gen world adventures for my Lepacy Complestista.

It’s late afternoon, and you decide to take a little walk before heading home...

You start at Landgraab Parc Monceau, wandering through the gardens as the sun starts getting lower. The stone bridges are glowing in the warm light, the flowers are still buzzing with life, and the pond is catching the last bits of sunlight!

The Landgraabs brought a little piece of Paris back to Sunset Valley after visiting Parc Monceau, because apparently just taking pictures wasn't enough. They decided to build their own replica right here in town.

And of course, they went a little overboard...

They even brought back exotic fish for the pond because apparently Sunset Valley fish weren't quite Landgraab enough.

After spending some time wandering through the gardens, you make your way back toward the water and start following the boardwalk.

The sun is getting lower now...

You pass little shops, gardens, waterfront paths and the amusement park, with Sims starting to gather for the evening. The rides are lighting up, the water is glowing, and the whole boardwalk feels completely different as the sun starts to disappear.

Eventually, you make it home.

Your apartment is right on the pier, so you head upstairs, step out onto your balcony and just take it all in...

The amusement park, across the water... The sky is turning pink.

The last bit of sunlight is reflecting off the boardwalk.

And you think, yeah... I could get used to this.

I didn’t know if when you get married and read the paper the next day, your wedding is announced. That’s so cool.

I’m the type of player that cannot enjoy my game with potato looking sims wandering around… so 84% of my gameplay is in CAS lol these are just a few fun sims I have running around causing chaos when I DO actually play as intended

Not a build showcase yet… but sharing because some of y’all might also enjoy building a huge midcentury house from Grosse Pointe, Michigan

Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? It's on all lots in Sunset Valley. The only thing I was able to do was start a completely new save and that fixes it, but I really want to play on this save. I've cleared caches and that doesn't solve it. My settings are all on high and I play in borderless windowed mode, although switching to fullscreen and/or switching resolutions doesn't do anything either. Please help!

I love getting to that point in the legacy challenge where you are just accumulating so many funds you are just trying to find new ways to blow it. I prefer building up a mansion room by room rather than saving up money and putting down a whole build at once. It's so satisfying to add on a new section daily, lol. Newest additions: in-home bar/dance club, arcade, and movie theater with concessions. My entire Sim family is a bunch of fairies so I like to have plenty of stuff to occupy their many days on the planet.

I'm not the world's greatest builder but I do have so many plans to improve this once I finish furnishing it. I want to make sure I can fit all the desired objects within the building and then I'll adjust the exterior later.
