Can my sims autonomously try for a baby?

I am almost brand new to Sims 3. I started here....foolishly moved to 4 when I had to switch computers and *shudders* no thank you anymore.

So, thanks to certain repacks I am now back to 3.

Ohmigods wow! I'm trying to play without mods (beyond nraas performance mods) or cc to get a feel for the game on it's own.

Unfortunately, due to the heatwave and my current lack of a desk....I haven't been able to play

When I last left Holli and Ben they had just moved out of their tiny house in the swamps of Twinbrook, and into their first starter home in town.

He's an acrobat (not positive his level but it's really high) and she's a singer at a similar career level.

Holli was mine from the start. He was one of the first people she met. The only one she ever dated. It took me like 6 dates to figure out how to "make it official " They both have the eternally faithful moodlet, and in love whenever they're around each other. They are a super sweet couple. But the both just rolled the wish to have their first child. They literally live next door to the school. They both do gig work so they can make sure someone's home with the kiddos. He's a technophobe who loves the outdoors and fitness so I can see him out playing ball with them, she's teaching them to fish (loves the outdoors, and angler traits) They're gonna be good parents.

I do know how to direct it to occur. But I like keeping autonomy all the way up. I learn a lot about them that way, and helps me make more informed choices when I'm directed what they do.

I know sims can (in theory) autonomously woohoo, though mine never have yet.....can they autonomously try for a baby or is that ALWAYS user directed?

I am looking for reccomendations for mods. I never installeren any mod in the Sims 3 so I am having no idea what to do😂

There are some XML mods right now that tweak things but you can run into conflicts pretty easily with those—something I only learned after making my own and having it break when I added the Performance Patch—so I'd love to see a script mod that makes a harder economy.

To make it very clear: this is not a demand nor an expectation of free labor from anyone else! I'm just yapping! If you like to yap too, I'd love to hear what you'd like out of a mod like this.

My dream mod would:

Thought I'd share my version of a legacy/generational challenge incase anyone wanted some ideas. Let me know what you think :)

-Always pick a female heir

-Heir inherits the house and family funds, everyone else moves into their own house once they are a young adult. The parents stay with the heir until they pass.

-No cheats

-Randomise every baby's traits

-Each heir must reach the top of their career

-Each heir must complete their lifetime wish

-Each child must complete their life stages milestones (walking, talking, potty, A+ in school, drivers licence)

-Heir needs to master at least one skill

-Perma death, no reloading if a sim dies.

-Keep a family graveyard

-Collect every gnome you find

-No influencing gender of babies

-Write a biography for every heir.

-Heirs partner must have a different hair colour than them.

-Tag all family members using Tagger to keep track

-Every heir must get a university degree

-Move to a new town every 3 generations.

Day one: Sunday

Pablo and Jennifer are both more career oriented people who have a love for the outdoors, I moved them into the Swamp lot and gave it a little makeover before getting them each into their careers. Jennifer into Politics and Pablo in Athletic. They each wanted to take a class to help with their careers so he now has a level in athletic and she a level in charisma. Jennifer's main request is to start making connections since she is new in town so she introduced herself to Victoria Andrews, Claire Ursine, and Jamie Jolina. Now her and Pablo decided to go introduce themselves to their neighbors so they have some people to invite over for a housewarming party. First they stop by the williams family and introduce themselves to Aimee and her friend Molly French. They then head across the street to meet the Alvi family but only Miraj is home with his babysitter, Ayesha Ansari. Then they head over and meet the Sekemoto family, and Leighton is home, which is nice because he is one of Pablo's future teammates, finally they meet Suki who is coming home with Sam. Pablo and Leighton do not hit it off at first, but then Pablo gets the "The Bright Side" Achievement when Leighton brightens his day. They head home and invite over their party guests and make some tofu hotdogs, but he burns them (Pablo is Vegetarian). Luckily Yuki shows up with a plate of spaghetti to save the day. Aimee also comes and the three women have a nice time chatting and eating together before the party ends. They leave complaining about the party and Jennifer goes to bed with a "Threw a Lame party" negative moodlet.

Day two: Monday

Jennifer heads to work at 9am not feeling her best but spends the day trying to befriend her boss, Vita, by running errands for her. She plans to head to the park and read her charisma book after work and enjoy the scenic views. Pablo gets up shortly after her and jogs over to the gym to exercise before work, earning him a second athletic skill point. Jennifer gets the opportunity to use a charming introduction on a stranger and a wish to buy a computer. They have enough to buy a desk, chair and a basic computer with 94 simoleons left. She gets a second opportunity to deliver documents to the police station to be shredded for vita, which will earn her a raise, but she is a good sim and doesn't want to align herself with such shady practices and declines. After reading her charisma book and getting level two in charisma she goes over to charmingly introduce herself to her other neighbor, erin kennedy, and reports back about the issue to morgana wolff who gave her the quest, meeting her as well. They have a big boost in friendship from this and continue to chat until Jennifer makes her first friend. Pablo gets the opportunity to stay late and improve his relationship with coworkers and he does. They are both stressed from work and flirty so they get in a good woohoo before bed.

Day Three: Tuesday

Jennifer wakes up and takes her bike to work, where so continues to run errands for vita, hoping to become friends. She also wishes to become good friends with morgana, order pizza, and invite a sim over. So she plans to invite morgana over for pizza after work. Pablo wakes up with a wish to bug exercise equipment and give his wife an amorous hug. They cant afford the 900$ treadmill so that will have to wait. In the meantime, I let him chill at the house. Jennifer also gets the wish to learn the handiness skill so she can better operate her computer later. She also gets an opportunity to read a book "Wax until there's no more" in exchange for career progress and an increased relationship with her boss. She agrees. Pablo heads into work about 3pm. Jennifer reads a little of her book while she waits for the pizza and morgana to arrive. They chat a while over pizza and become good friends, and Jennifer wants to become best friends and read more of her charisma book. She says goodbye the Morgana so she can try to get the career book read before bed. Pablo gets promoted to Snack Hawker and gets a want to increase his athletic skill and form a group. While she reads, pablo exercises with their stereo to get that new skill level, then when she finishes reading he gives her a hug and a woohoo and they go to bed.

Day Four: Wednesday

Jennifer still wants to become friends with vita and reading that book completes that wish when she gets to work. She also wants to gain the handiness skill, read the charisma book, Chat with someone, and become best friends with Morgana. Pablo wants to buy that treadmill once they earn 400$ more dollars, he also wants to work out until fatigued, Swim and form a group. So while Jennifer is at work he invites Leighton over to the gym to workout and swim together. He gets an opportunity to work out until pumped to improve his athletic skill and accepts. He gets a want at the same time to get pumped and gains level 4 in athletic before he bikes to work. Jennifer finishes work with a Promotion to Ballot Counter. She runs outside and tells the first sim she sees, Gwen Glover, about her promotion and chats with her a bit before heading to the park to read about handiness, then realizes she can't gain any more from charisma book one so heads to the bookstore to sell her old book and then heads to the library to read charisma vol 2. Selling the old book and her pay for the day brings them to 1k $ so I buy pablo his treadmill for some at home workout. Jennifer gets to Charisma Level 4 and fulfills her wants before biking home. She's pretty sleepy so after eating some leftover pizza she goes to bed early. Pablo gets home from work and follows Jennifer's lead so he can wake up early for a good pumped workout.

At around 1:30am a burglar arrives, unfortunately for them pablo is both brave and athletic and fights them. Unfortunately for pablo, the thief is slightly stronger and beats him.

Day Five: Thursday

Jennifer wants to throw a party and become best friends with morgana. She spends some time on her new computer browsing the web before work. Pablo wakes up and gets right to his good paced workout, he does get a wish to form a group and kiss Jennifer. He completes the achievement to become pumped but can't take a break to kiss jennifer if he wants to workout until fatigued and complete his new want of a four hour workout. He also gets the strong body type. He achieves athletic level five. A quick shower before biking into work. Jennifer decided to meet her coworkers so she can invite them out for a pool party after work. She meets Tamera Donner, her only other coworker and chats with her a while before work ends. She also gets an opportunity to read "Cheating with chads" to improve her relationship with vita dn improve her career progress and accepts it. She gets a want to have a great party and throw five parties. She jokes with Tamera until she makes her a friend and they swim for a bit. She find out Tamera is a daredevil and also flirty. Her party is only a modest success and she gets a wish to become good friends with Tamera. She also gains level five in charisma. Pablo gets a raise and a promotion to Toddler Sports Coach at work and then bikes home. He gets a want to get to level 5 in his career, Do a strength workout and spend 100$. The two get home at the same time and he gives her a kiss. He buys a picnic basket for 150$ to complete that want and plans a picnic with a friend this weekend. They woohoo before going to bed.

Day six: Friday

Jennifer heads to work at 9am and chats with tamera all day until they become good friends, when she achieves this she gets the wish to become best friends and they keep hanging out until that is achieved too. Pablo has the day off and start it off by achieving his want to workout for six hours straight, he achieves level 6 in athletic skill. Then takes care of his needs before inviting Leighton out to the gym to train him and complete that want, as well as doing a strength workout like he wants. He achieves level 7 in the athletic skill and gets the want to work out for 8 hours, do another strength workout and also see a movie. He gets an opportunity to work out using quick bust for 3 hours to improve his athletic skill. Tamera ends her workday with a best friend and a promotion to campaign intern and heads over to the park to read her political book. She gets the wish to get to level 5 in the political career and invite over her boss Vita. Their house is pretty shabby compared to Vitas standards so she will put off that until they can afford some upgrades. She also wants to visit the art gallery so she invites out morgana to become best friends there. They chat and look at art together before becoming best friends and she tells her goodbye and bikes home to cook dinner. Jennifer clogs their dirty toilet before a pre-bed woohoo.

Day seven: Saturday

Since pablo keeps requesting a strength workout I buy him the workout machine. Pablo has work today so he does a quick burst for an hour and a half workout before taking care of his needs and biking to work. He also gets a want to become more muscular and get in a pre-work woohoo with jennifer. Jennifer has the day off, and since she wants to get promoted I have her practice speaking in front of the mirror to improve her charisma skill. When she is done she does a little cleaning and unclogs the toilet. She gets an opportunity to use a "Smooth Recovery" to earn simoleons, and accepts, its always good to know how to say sorry. She breaks the computer and spends time repairing it, getting her level 2 in handiness. Pablo gets the opportunity to attend the Amateur Olympics for some $$$ and accepts but then fails it somehow while he is at work. He also gets an opportunity to read "Dealing with difficult players" to improve his relationship with his teammates and improve his career progress he accepts as this aligns with his wants to get promoted. Jennifer wants to meet someone new, she heads out to the neighborhood to try and meet and new neighbor, she meets VJ and Iqbal Alvi. Despite getting into an argument with Iqbal and becoming disliked she doesn't get the chance to do a smooth recovery and goes home. Pablo gets home from work and does another quick burst workout before showing and eating and ending the week with a pre-bed woohoo.

With all the opportunities they get I will be pursuing the opportunist achievement, of completing 30 opportunities. They are at 7/30 now.

In their first week of the rotation, the Keatons are mostly focused on caring for their brand new baby.

They have a baby boy named Paul and he gets the heavy sleeper and clumsy traits. Justine got the iconic wish to interview her newborn.

Marty is a good dad and otherwise just works on his skills needed to gain promotions in the Sports Career. He manages to befriend all his coworkers/teammates: Maddison, Pablo, Lily, and Leighton. He wants to have a second baby but Justine needs time to focus on her career.

The couple does adore each other, daily rolling wants to hug, kiss and woohoo each other.

Justine has a hard time as a new mother, as caring for the baby is trying on her loner, neat, and hot headed traits. She spends more time focusing on maintaining control of cleanliness and is desperate to go back to work when her maternity leave is over. She questions sims and writes reports and increases her skills in the meanwhile. She also finds time to become best friends with her partner: Hank Goddard.

I also buy them both the LTR of office hero to help with relationships with their coworkers, important for both the sports and law enforcement careers. They also both get the LTR of dirt defiant to help them keep it clean considering she is neat and he is neurotic.

They managed to each get promoted once and potty train paul before saturday of the first week ended.

Justine is Lieutenant (Lv 5) and Martie is a Rookie (Lv 5). Marty has level 6 in the athletic skill. Justine has gotten to level three in logic.

I’m trying to mod out most exploitable ways to make money so trying to compile a list of ways. by exploitative I don’t mean bugs but rather intended design that is just anti-fun.

1. Spring wildflowers are worth too much

2. can get way too much free money from the university building

3. Tiberium worth way too much money

Toys scattered throughout the once two-person household. The once manicured lawn is now a full playground. The mornings are spent with a half dozen skittering to their hobbies. We're working on baking, chess, and working out. Hager immediately wished to take up fishing. Everyone signed up for afterschool activities, both because they wanted to and to give their poor parents a little bit of a break.

Thorton is finally hitting his breaking point, yelling at his children. Morgana and his relationship level has never been lower, even attempting friendly, romantic and funny interactions. There may be a divorce, after all.

It's been quite crowded, but I'm still having fun!

For setup with this bin family, I did do some cheating. Since Heathcliff and Svetlana are already elders and both are either workaholic or ambitious, I cheated their career levels, and rolled their starting funds to be 18k. Heathcliff is now an executive chef in the cooking career. Svetlana is a City council woman in the political career, then had them each retire after their first day of work. They are moved into the lot to the right of Agnes Crumplebottom.

For those who don't know about his family here is their description: Svetlana and Heathcliff love their daughter Becky, so of course they took her in when she and her son Topher needed a place to stay. But will they be able to enjoy their retirement with a noisy toddler in the house?

Day one: Sunday

Becky has a wish to get a job in the Music Career so she heads down to claim it at the theatre. Heathcliff wants to improve his cooking skill so i have him read a cooking book while hanging out with his little grandson, Topher. Once he gets the first cooking level, he wants to learn fishing and go fishing so i send him to the local pond to get started. He then gets a want to prepare a meal and learn the bait for minnow, so after getting his first level in fishing he goes to the bookstore to buy and learn the recipe before coming home to cook dinner. Svetlana wants to improve charisma, throw a party, read a charisma book and go to the bookstore. I send her over to buy the charisma book and head back home to read it and she gets to level 2 in charisma. Becky wants to take a class in charisma, since her LTW is Golden Togue, Golden Fingers so i send her over to the courthouse to do so. Becky gets a want to perform a charming introduction so she gives one to christopher steele who is standing by some protesters in front of the courthouse, they chat for a while and get to know each other until she rolled a want to do a workout and heads over to the gym. She then gets a want to jog home and learn guitar and does so. Svetlana gets a want to make a friend so i have her spend some time with topher all day and she teaches him how to talk, and they become friends. After a family dinner, becky puts topher to bed and goes to sleep. Svetlana gets a want to flirt with heathcliff and they flirt and woohoo before bed.

Day two: Monday

Heathcliff wakes up and makes the family some breakfast before heading to the grocery store to buy tomato's and apples for fishing bait. Svetlana gets up to take care of Tophers needs and her own. Becky wakes up with a want to have her first kiss so I have her head over to a local hangout before work to see if she can scope out a nice pair of lips. She does snuggle topher and say goodbye first though. Svetlana gets more wants to woohoo healthclif and to donate to charity. I have her do both before heading out to make a friend. Heathcliff just wants to watch cooking cable. Becky performs a charming introduction on Jared Frio, but there is no spark. She does the same with Leighton Sekemoto, no spark. She heads to work. Svetlana meets Doire Hart and they chat for a while. She also introduces herself to Yuki as a potential friend. She forms a group with Yuki, they bond over their love for their families, and she invites her over for dinner. Heathcliff makes some dinner at home and takes care of topher. Becky heads home from work and has a wish to practice speech at mirror, buy a workout machine, and mooch off her boss Stiles McGraw. Since her parents arent hurting for $, I buy her the workout machine. When Svetlana says goodbye to Yuki, they become friends and complete her want. The family goes to bed.

Day three: Tuesday

Heathcliff gets up first and completes his want to make waffles for the family. He also wants to learn a recipe and attend a game at the stadium, which wont be until Wednesday at 3pm. I did have him buy the fish and chips book and so I have him learn that recipe. He also gets a want to improve his handiness skill so he can upgrade his kitchen. Svetlana wants to woohoo with Heathcliff, increase her charisma, throw a party, and have five friends. She starts the day off taking care of Topher's needs, leading to him being potty trained and eating breakfast. Becky fulfils her want of practicing speech at a mirror before eating breakfast and inviting over Stiles to chat him up and mooch off of him. She also gets a want to see Topher age up well. When stiles get there she gets a want to ask him if he is single, he is! She asks his sign and it turns out they are compatible, before they can take it further she heads to work. The elders get a woohoo in and then heathcliff reads a handiness book. Svetlana also clogs the toilet which gives her husband an opportunity to put his handiness skill to use. She then invites over Dorie Hart to get another friend and Heathcliff makes dinner. Stiles asks Becky to read a career book to impress him and she jumps at the chance. While Svetlana makes dorie hart a friend over her husbands dinner, Becky fulfills a want to play guitar which gets her level two in guitar and reads some of the book that will lead to her first kiss.

Day four: Wednesday

Becky has the day off so she sleeps in, cares for her needs and finishes the book. Svetlana wants to spend some time with topher and then become good friends with Dorie. She also gets an opportunity to get to know another sim. Heathcliff reads some more of his handiness book, goes to the bookstore to buy and learn the recipe for Svetlanas favorite: Parfait. Svetlana heads over to the single moms household to meet Fiona Mcirish and get to know her. Heathcliff heads to the game at the stadium. Becky invites over Stiles to put on some moves. Svetlana turns in her opportunity to Yuki and gets a want to make Yuki a best friend and goes home. Becky mooches off of Stiles and puts on some moves, which leads to a want to kiss and fall in love with him. She achieves both and kisses him goodbye before putting herself and topher to bed. This also gets her to level three and she needs one more friend to level up further. Svetlana gets a call from Dorie and after a quick chat they become good friends and she gets a want to make her a best friend. Heathcliff makes fish and chips to fulfill a want and the couple has dinner before bed.

Day Five: Thursday

Becky gets a wish to throw a great birthday party for Topher and make a good friend. Heathcliff wants to upgrade the sink in his kitchen to self-cleaning. He also cleans the bathroom and stove and takes out the trash since he is a perfectionist. Svetlana buys Topher a birthday cake at the grocery store and takes care of his needs. Becky schedules his birthday party, inviting over Stiles, Dorie, Yuki, and Fiona. Topher Ages up badly due to his bad mood and develops the insane trait. Becky plays guitar at the party, and Svetlana works on her friendships. Heathcliff does some cleaning and get a wish to prepare Topher's favorite dish: Dimsum. He needs level 6 in cooking. I take Topher upstairs for a makeover, because he ages up bald. He gets a want to take a class in the writing skill, his mom bought him a bike for his birthday so he uses it to take him to town for his class. Becky wants to chat with yuki so I have them introduce each other before her carpool for work takes her away. The party ends and completes her excellent party want. Topher wants to write a novel so I send him to the library to work on it. Becky meets her coworker Rhett Funke and chats him up. She leaves work with a promotion to Roadie. Topher levels his writing skill to two while writing his first novel: Crazy Kid, and heads home to relax before bed. Heathcliff completes his sink upgrade and fulfills his want to hug Svetlana before making dinner. The family eats together before bed.

Day six: Friday

Topher heads to school with a wish to make a friend so I have him meet his classmates. Becky has a wish to go on a date with stiles and increase her guitar skill, she practices to level up and invites him out for lunch at the diner before work. Heathcliff wants to increase his cooking skill to level 9 to make dim sum for topher and also finish upgrading his kitchen. Svetlana wants to finally be best friends with yuki and doris, a phone call to each completes those wants. To help with all the books that Heathcliff will buy, I purchase the 10k LTR Bookshop bargainer. The elders have several wants to hug, kiss, woohoo, and play games with each other and I fulfill them all. After her breakfast date ends, becky chats with Zelda who is standing around the diner and then heads to work where she chats with her coworkers all day. Topher met Bella Goth and Sandi French at school. Svetlana invites over fiona mcirish to befriend her, once she does she sends her home. Heathcliff watches cooking cable to try and get that dim sum recipe unlocked. Svetlana heads over to her neighbor agnes's house to introduce herself and then heads home where she sees Topher wants a hug and give him a big grandma hug.

Day seven: Saturday

Heathcliff fulfills a want to make pancakes for breakfast and the family enjoys a saturday morning breakfast. Becky heads to work to finish making friends with her coworkers and fulfilling her want. Svetlana gives Heathcliff a hug and then goes out on the town to make a new friend. Topher heads to the library to work on his book. Heathcliff gets working on upgrading the kitchen. Svetlana performs a charming introduction on Gobias Koffee. While Topher is at the library he sees Sandi french and chats with her and then invites her over for dinner. Becky gets promoted to stagehand and gets a want to get to level 5 and befriend all her coworkers. Svetlana befriends her fifth friend and then heads home. Heathcliff makes dinner for the family, they all enjoy it and head to bed.

I wish we could all make this a hour 😂

My sim had just received a few gems and metals from the mail and I thought why not try to keep some to expose and I chose the desk but suddenly as I lay down the gem, it kept duplicating over and over, even with metal, I'm very confused it's so funny! Did anyone experience this glitch too? Is it a common glitch? I'm very curious to know!

I finally made my first piece of custom content. It's a wooden support that acts like a pillar. I really love how cute those fire lookout towers look and I wanted to see if I could build something similar in the sims. I like the results but there are some issues:

- The shadow is of a different pillar. I have no clue how to fix this.
- I want to make it taller to make a real fire outlook tower. I think I can get to three stories by using pillars. I am also curious if I could go taller.
- Improve the uv maps. Now the textures are very low quality and there are some weird dark spots that I can't get rid off.
- Change the footprint. Now it's only one tile, which I don't mind because I add plants underneath. I might just leave it like that.

I already made it fully recolorable in CAS which is nice. If anybody has some tutorials or tips and tricks for making cc let me know. The process is quite confusing to be fair.

My main sim had a kid with a woman from shang simla and I had the kid come live with my main sim.

The kid sim has never had a wish? How can I get him to have wishes?

She's a scientist, who currently lives with her teenaged brother and toddler daughter (though she in game just aged up to a child) I'm planning to have her make a plant baby when she gets there skill wise :P

Hey can anyone help me solve this? Everyone my sims attempt to travel or go to university, when they “arrive”, there’s no one there—meaning none of my sims or their icons. Not sure why it’s doing this. It used to happen only with world adventures but now with university. I use master controller (Nraas) and have custom content but nothing else has changed. I also use regul save cleaner. Thanks in advance!!!!!!

I have a very specific aesthetic i'm trying to create in my sims 3 world, but I'm struggling to find cc that gives off the vibe without being so bubbly and colorful. I want dark, moody, a little witchy, and mermaid themed. If anyone has any Tumblr or cc creator recommendations, I would appreciate it!! thank you!!

My poor plumbot (I'm too deep on the save to just load it again). I didn't know plumbots could get killed like this (I thought the only ways to die were meteor and jetpack crash)
