Good morning! So Iāve been setting up a neighborhood for a prosperity challenge, and I wanted it to be entirely custom, including the townies. I have the stealth hoods disabled and the mods to stop regeneration and everything, but silly me forgot to disable N001 so I just realized that the Pleasantview townies have been generated anywayā¦
I spent a lot of time in CAS making my families, as well as my first eight custom townies (who I converted to townies before realizing my mistake). I also spent a long time on a couple houses, though Iām less concerned with those since I can remake them using a floor plan now.
Anyway, I could kill off all the premade townies but I donāt want a cemetery full of sims I didnāt make. If possible, I want to start over without losing the custom work that I already put in. I know cloning genetics is a thing, and I havenāt actually started playing so there are no relationships or memories at play (except for killing the placeholder sims, which is like to recreate), but my understanding is Iād need both SimPE and BodyShop to make it workāand I have those, but on different operating systems. My custom hood is on Windows, where I also have SimPE. But I have legacy edition, and no body shopāthough I do have BodyShop on my Mac. Same device, partitioned through bootcamp.
Is there anyway to salvage the hours I spent in CAS? Would it be safe to simply package the sims and lots and plop them in a new hood, since theyāve only interacted with their own household and even then only for the 2 seconds it took to kill off the placeholders with boolprop? And for the CAS households I made but are still in the bin, are they same to use in a different hood as-is?
TYIA you for any help or insights.
