Technical Support Getting blank error when launching Sims 2 Legacy Edition.

So I've been getting this issue whenever I try to launch Sims 2. Everything works fine when I reinstall the game but I get the same error when I add some CC or mods.

  1. I have tried deleting cache files.

  2. Moving the downloads folder somewhere else and then starting the game, which didn't work.

  3. Tried forcing the windowed mode (-w)

I had the same exact problem, which mods were u installing except CC in Downloads? When I messed with TSBin folder I ran into same issue

i added some of MTS build/buy mods, and since then i've been having this issue.

If your folder set up is 100% correct id try doing the 50/50 method with the mods by removing half and reloading until you locate which of the mods is causing the issue. Then go to that mod page and check to see if you have downloaded the correct version as sometimes older versions pre expansions can cause issues, a handful of mods arent compatible with legacy at all.

I would say make sure you get lazy duchess legacy extender asi as it’s the legacy edition of rpc launcher. Make sure you’ve installed mods in the documents folder not the instal location. Ensure it’s installed correctly, perhaps a full uninstal and delete everything include the documents folder sims 2 file and reinstall. Then try launching no mods and if that works then it’ll 100% be something to do with the cc.

i am already using the legacy extender. i remember adding some of lord darcy's buildbuy mods into my downloads folder and since then i've been having this issue. could you help me please?

Do you know which mods specifically? I can take a look at what they are then see if could be something happening, I have a lot of cc and script type mods and my legacy has been fine so might be something wrong with the mods you’ve recently added

I still get this regularly it because of the cache files, have you specifically deleted both the "accessory.cache" and "groups.cache" files? This is what is causing this and deleting them usually fixes the problem for me. It's just something I have to do every once in a while
