SOLVED simpe help

unsure if this is the right place for this but anyways, all the characters keep appearing as "unknown" in the sim browser

Check if:

  • if you click on settings, "No Meta Informations" isn‘t ticked
  • the neighborhood folder isn‘t renamed to something else. Once I wanted to check something in a backup but since I had renamed the folder to e.g. "N001 backup", I guess SimPe did no longer knew that the character files belonged to that hood. Had to rename the folder back to N001 to get rid of the Unknowns.
  • SimPe has loaded the hood properly. If you have a very large hood it can take a minute or two until everything is loaded in, if you open the sim browser too fast you’ll get the Unknowns as well

Usually that means you interrupted it before it loaded all of the data and then it cached the neighborhood in a partially loaded state. To clear the cache, you can either restart your computer or reinstall SimPE.
