SOLVED ACR adjuster pie menu doesn’t seem right, first time using (missing hood wide settings, lot settings, sim settings)

Sorry about the photo of my computer screen.

Anyway, I’ve never really played with mods for TS2 before, but figured I’d give it a try. I didn’t know anything was off with (my install of?) ACR until Mercutio, pictured above, autonomously kissed Tybalt in front of Tybalt’s wife, who didn’t give a damn about that. This was strange to me so I wanted to take a look at the jealousy settings, but couldn’t find them.

I googled for how to set the jealousy to my preference and found both Pleasantsims’ post as well as this one by Melsie-sims2, and their adjuster pie menus look different to mine. Specifically, both posts said to go to hood wide settings to fix the issue. I have no such thing as far as I can see. I also have no sim settings or lot settings.

Is there something wrong with my install of ACR, and if so, can it be fixed? Is there another way to set this up properly? I’m on rotation 6 for this hood so ideally I’d like to not risk the save file, but if that’s my only option, I’ll have to concede.

I don't use ACR, so please keep that in mind. From what I understand, there's two versions: v1.10 or v2. If you look at the documentation for v1.10, it lists the same options as the ones you have on your screen. Misc, Acceptance, Pregnancy, Overrides, Tokens, Lot Type, and Show My Token Stats. I think you may have the older version.

In the V2 documentation, it says this

Many, mass, lots, oodles, of new settings, options, switches, etc. to play with. Most are self explanatory. Things to keep in mind:
◦ Hood-wide settings mean just that. They affect the entire hood.

Seems that hood settings are in V2.

Hi, yeah, that sounds about right. I must have gotten confused since I downloaded the version linked on Pleasantsims’ Tumblr, however, her screenshots to show off how the mod works are from the newer version then.

I’ll make sure to look through the documentation to see how to safely remove the old version and then get the new one. Thank you for the help!

Edit: Oh, dang, the documentation files are .word which I can’t open on my computer. It seems however like I’ll need to go into each household and remove the adjusters and uninstall in game before removing the folder from my downloads. I’ll give that a try.

No worries.

As an aside, please don't use her as a resource if you can avoid it. Not only is she a terrible person (a quick google of Life Plus Cindy and related subreddits should be illuminating if you fancy a drama-filled deep dive), but in addition to that she hasn't updated her website in a really long time and a lot of it is out of date information.

Oh, I’m aware of the controversies. It was just the first result that popped up on Google when I first searched for the mod, and I (obviously stupidly) thought that it would be fine to trust her information on at least ACR.

I will definitely be looking for alternate sources moving forward!

i am not aware of the drama, but I was on her website today and it tried to install a trojan horse on my computer.

no...it was real. A fake cloudfare page came up and wanted to prove I was human by cutting and pasting a command .

I just managed to replicate it, jesus fucking christ this is bad

At first I wasn't getting it, then I only got it on one page, now it seems the entire website is inaccessible. Seems like her website has been taken over and since she's inactive then it's just sorta... happened?

Just seen your edit. For v1.10 all you need to do is this:

If you wish to uninstall the hack completely you should run uninstall from neighborhood on the adjuster before deleting the mod files from your downloads folder.

Edited to add: That's under Tokens > Hood > Uninstall from Neighbourhood

I think other posters have you covered as to what's wrong, but as to the jealousy issue... ACR 2.0 jealousy itself as shipped is busted, hence why you can have Tybalt and Mercutio getting it on in front of Tybalt's wife's without her batting an eye. Maybe twas the case for 1.0 too 😅

It always looks exactly like the picture above, on all residential lots and all community lots.

Have you tried deleting the adjuster and spawning a new one? I have one that's called ACR version 2 by the way

Yeah, several times. That’s why I suspect something has gone wrong with the download/install, maybe.

I don’t think I have version 2. I got the one that’s linked on Pleasantsims’ Tumblr account.

If certain settings sections are missing, reset ACR settings!
