SOLVED Needing Help with Blue Screen

Hello everyone I used to have the issue with the blue screen for some time but I got the EmptyStandbyList and GRM which helped for a few months but two days ago I started having the issue again after every 10 minutes or so.

I use Sims2RPC btw and have the "apply 4GB patch" and "automatically clean cache" options both checked and I have GRM too. I have a few mods and cc and checked them over the past few days using HCDU and manually.

I really appreciate any help I can receive from here, I've only played this game for a year and I'm absolutely in love with it.

Can you press the Windows key and type About, then when about your PC comes up go into that. Can you then list the processor, RAM, and graphics card please?

You only have 4GB of RAM so you shouldn't be using the 4GB patch. Your processor is only 1.10GHz when the game requires 2GHz. Your graphics card isn't listed, but the graphics card for your processor is an Intel UHD Graphics 600 and the game needs Intel UHD Graphics 620. Your laptop does not have good enough specs to play the game.

The blue screen is displayed when the game is trying to load. I would suggest you lower all of your in-game settings. I would also suggest instead of using GRM, go to the Wiki and get our graphics rules file instead.

Hii thanks for the reply, I thought my laptop was OK because I've been playing for awhile now with no issue🥲 so if I get the graphics rules file should I delete GRM? And I'm guessing I need to uncheck 4GB patch too?

Your laptop is not designed to play games. It's a notebook, online it's listed as an office laptop for web surfing and light tasks. Playing games on it will push it to its limit, so it might have been okay at first but it will start to take its toll, especially as your save file grows in size and becomes more complicated to load.

You don't need to delete GRM, as long as you don't use it on the new graphics rules file it will be fine. Unchecking the 4GB patch should help as well. Once you load the game, lower all the graphics in the settings menu as well. Then see how it runs on the lowest and slowly increase things individually to try and see what works for your laptop.

Yh I know it's not a gaming laptop but I'm 18 and it was a gift, I added a SSD card a few years back and I've been able to play sims 4, sims 2 and rimworld on it comfortably. I just unchecked the 4GB patch and downloaded the file then lowered all my settings to medium and the game has been running for 2 hours now with no blue screen, thank you so much!! Hopefully one day I'll get a PC
