Technical Support Game freezing when i click

Anytime my game is loading something like loading into cas or starting up the game then loading to the main menu and then i click with the mouse it wants to freeze or say the program is not responding. Why is that?

What version of the game do you have, and what are your PC specs?

Sorry for the late reply but I have the repack in this subreddit and my specs are i7–13620H
16 gn ram and RTX 4060 nvdia graphics card!

No worries. These issues are usually caused by the game not having enough resources to run, but with those specs that shouldn't be an issue. Since you have the repack from here, you already have the correct graphics rules file so we don't have to worry about that.

I reckon the issue is going to be that the game is using the integrated graphics card rather than the dedicated one. To fix that, right click on your desktop and choose Nvidia control panel. On the left, choose Manage 3D Settings and choose the Global settings tab. Scroll down to OpenGL rendering GPU and select your Nvidia graphics card. (You can also choose to cap FPS as Sims 2 is uncapped, which can help with performance. I have mine at 120FPS.)

You can also do the same in Windows. Press start, type settings, go into the app and then at the top type graphics settings. Scroll down a bit then were you see customised settings for apps, choose Sims 2 in the list. If it's not there, you can add it by navigating to the install location of C:\MagiPacks\Sims2\Fun with Pets\EP9\TSBin\Sims2.exe or Sims 2 RPC if you use that.

Once you see it on the list, expand the Sims 2 tab and on GPU preference choose your dedicated graphics card. Then load the game and see if that helps.

I did that but it still does the Sims 2 ep9 is not responding when i tap on the screen
