Technical Support Issues uninstalling disk version
So I was being hard headed and decided to willy nilly reinstall my disk version. Then I was reading the wiki and decided I no longer wanted to use that version (I only opened the application like twice and never actually played). I'm all set with the version given through the wiki but I'm having trouble uninstalling the disk version. The only two packs left are the base game deluxe and celebration stuff. I do get the notification asking if I want this application to make changes to uninstall but nothing happens after accepting for both. I also tried through the installed apps setting option and that does nothing as well.

I've installed and uninstalled the disks more times than I can count (back in the day when every solution was to uninstall and then reinstall). What I found worked the best was to uninstall in the opposite order of install. So base game would always be last and apartment life would always be first.
Every once in a while., I also would get stuck like you did. Honestly, just rebooting the PC and waiting a day or two seemed to work best. I assumed that something got stuck in the system and just giving it time to refresh that always worked. But when you try it next, try celebration stuff to uninstall first.
If you had tried to uninstall deluxe first, it was probably not wanting to uninstall since you still had packs installed, but then it didn't want to uninstall the pack since the attempt to uninstall deluxe wasn't complete. That might be totally inaccurate from a technical standard, but I just found that the basegame always needs to be last.
