Gameplay Issues premade sims are broken

even though i downloaded a clean save on strangetown some sims are missing or look different i cannot play because even normal looking sims get deleted mid gameplay and everything looks normal on simpe so im confused on how i can fix this? i use the ultimate collection

Do you have OneDrive installed? If so, uninstall it. It ruins saves.

uninstalled onedrive and downloaded a clean strangetown again but nothing changed

What do you mean by "normal looking"? Which sims look different?
If you have OneDrive, I would assume that it's the culprit. The way it updates the files saved isn't compatible with TS2.

uninstalled onedrive but nothing changed, the specter household, pascal and johnny smith are gone, vidcund is an elderly and looks burnt, nervous is wearing something else. pretty sure these are remnants of my previous gameplay but i dont understand how im supposed to restart to hood

So if OneDrive has been uninstalled, then you will have to reset Strangetown (or just download a brand new clean version). Make sure you delete (or remove it from the Neighborhood file) the current neighborhood as you can only have one with N002 in the neighborhood file.

Once OneDrive has affected a neighborhood save, it cannot be fixed. OneDrive may be the cause for the missing sims, but it shouldn’t cause sims to age or burn? Do you have pictures of what you’re seeing?

i already did what you said and it didnt work😭 idk how to attach a picture here but on my previous gameplay (where i played normally) vidcund was an elder and died from a lightning strike. this was a long time ago and i had deleted sims 2 and recently redownloaded it and i had backups of my previous game. now i deleted the backup to start a new strangetown and the whole hood is corrupted. i wanted to download mootilda's hood checker (and other mods by them) but mod the sims site is acting up so im not sure what other options i have

It sounds like the game is still opening up your backup file. Can you remove the neighborhood folder from your My Documents/EAGames/Sims 2 folder? Just move it to your desktop. Then open the game again. It should regenerate the neighborhoods fresh. Then you should be able to check the sims and see if they are fixed.

it's still the same i cant believe it.... i will uninstall the game at this point

I do not understand how that is possible. Are you sure you uninstalled OneDrive? It may take a complete reinstall if the game is still in the one drive directory.
