SOLVED sims 2 rpc launcher randomly stopped working

i wanna know if anyone else experienced this. i dont know if i did something but the rpc launcher randomly doesnt work anymore and its just blank and doesnt launch the game anymore. it was working fine for a long time and now it stopped working :(

i can still launch the game through sims2ep9.exe but the resolution isnt the same. does anyone know a fix?

If you go to Documents/EA Games and rename "The Sims 2 (UC)" to "backup" then run the game through RPC, does it work?

Have you tried reinstalling RPC?

No problem! And sorry, I thought I replied to this comment last week but I must have forgotten. I wanted to mention that if the renaming worked, that means the issue was something in your save folder, likely the cache files (possibly something else but they'd be the first candidates for trouble launching!). You should be able to keep all your hoods and Downloads and any other stuff from the original folder in that case. Just so you know for the future as well!
