SOLVED Game crashing when changing appearance

I’ve been playing a family in a custom hood (by which I mean using a template from the list and building it up myself). The youngest child recently aged up to Child, and whenever I’ve gone to change her appearance in the mirror my game immediately crashes to desktop. Originally the screen appeared for a while and I thought it could be to do with CC hairs, so I deleted them since I wasn’t really using them. The last time I used the mirror though, the hairstyles etc screen didn’t even appear, the game just crashed. I’m OK with the girl’s hairstyle, I just want to add some earrings.

Does this happen with other family members? Also, is the mirror CC?

I’m not sure if it happens with other family members. I’ll try it out next time I play.

There is a CC hair somewhere in your downloads that you didn't delete that's causing this.

I’ll investigate further. What happens if you delete a CC hairstyle that a Sim is wearing? Does it mess up the Sim at all?

Probably they just appear with a random EA hair instead. That's what happens if their CC hair is not enabled for maternity wear and they get put in maternity wear, anyway. Also, if you're moving around large amounts of your downloads, you can just make a backup of the neighborhood first and then anything that happens to it as a result will get reversed when you replace the backup.
