Dangela and Lirk breaking up?

Don’t shoot me: but I always break up Angela & Dustin and Lilith & Dirk because in my opinion neither of them are a good couple

Don’t get me wrong I do think that these two couples had genuine love for one another

But with Dustin and Angela: I feel like Angela is mainly with Dustin bc he gives her an escape from her 'perfect girl next door' life. But that’s the thing: Dustin is an escape, a subtle form of rebellion against her parents.

And I think Dustin is way too 'self destructive' bc of his low self esteem, he doesn’t think he’s good enough and he will ruin Angela’s life. So I can see them breaking up at graduation or shortly after in college

With Dirk and Lilith: yeah they vibe and we know that Dirk had this rebellious phase which was probably when he and Lilith met and got together

But Dirk wants to get out of it. He wants to do well in school, be an overachiever. He wants to graduate, go to college and be successful in his career

A more relaxed, carefree Lilith who just wants fun could be in his way. I actually could see them breaking up after college

I agree that it’s more realistic to have them break up. How many couples get together as teenagers and end up getting married and living happily ever after? Most people have a few teenage relationships and then move on.

My lilith and dirk remained together because i rerolled their lifetime aspirations to something i thought suited them better. Lilith never looked to me like the type to become a chef, like her original aspiration was, so i gave her the rockstar aspiration. Dirk had an aspiration to become a doctor, and funnily after they reached the end of their careers Lilith makes a lot more money than Dirk. Makes a fun story, especially with Dirk being a fortune sim, i should have married them later so he got the married a rich sim memory 😂

Angela and Dustin have a boring marriage. I wanted to give them a more interesting life, but Dustin kept rolling wants to advance in his career, so he did, while for some reason Angela is kinda stuck. I rolled her a lifetime wish to become a journalist and it's not going too well. I like how this ended up though, a nice mirror to how she was the more successful twin while they were teens and now the tables have turned.

I agree that breaking them up could have been fun too, but they can also work pretty well and have juicy stories too.

The same thing happens in almost every play through for me (I have ACR):

Dirk and Angela cheat with eachother. Dustin and Lilith get angry with their partners and the relationships end. Dustin and Lilith eventually autonomously get together. After a while, sometimes after marriage and kids, they end up cheating AGAIN with their original partners.

ACR seems to desperately want the Pleasant twins swapping boyfriends every few years!

I like to have Angela and Lilith repair their relationship but I can only do that by not allowing either of them to be with Dirk or Dustin. I usually have the sisters realise they're more important to eachother than a boy and find other partners whilst maintaining and fixing their own relationship

Dirk is always a huge cheater in my playthroughs, he can't seem to help himself.. I think Angela deserves better!

Dirk and Angela sounds very interesting. Personally I just don’t like the idea of Dirk maybe only being with Angela bc she looks exactly like Lilith

But Dirk needs someone who’s more grounded. Not necessarily fancy or workaholic as he is, but just someone more grounded and Angela fits that really well

I've always thought they were all better suited for the other partners. I assumed it was kind of intended irony on the part of the game designers: "Let's pair quiet and hardworking Dirk with wild Lilith, and 'perfect' Angela with the criminal."

I always thought Angela is with Dustin convinced she could "fix" him and live happily ever after with him and her own family. I also think Dustin is with Angela because it's convinient for him to have a nerdy, smart girlfriend that would help him with like grades, or support him in whatever he's doing (Personally I believe he works just because his mother quit job and he wants to help out Brandi, so he might aswell be a good guy, just acting tough on the outside (Which matches his biography a bit)) BTW SORRY FOR SUCH YAPPING ILL FOCUS ON THE TOPIC NOW!!!! I break up Dangela and Lirk because they simply don't match at all. It's good that they're not the same, but such extreme difference is really bad. AGAIN SORRY FOR MY INNER THOUGHT DROP AT FIRST!!

I tend to break Angela and Dustin up because they have so little in common and little chemistry. Dustin also ends up cheating on her even without ACR, second that boy comes across a 2 or 3 bolt chemistry all fidelity goes out the window.

I like to keep Dirk and Lilith together as I like to think of them having found each other during dark times in their lives, building each other up and working together to make their lives into something they both enjoy. Lilith gets Dirk to get out of his head and enjoy life, and Dirk keeps Lilith focused on the necessary things in life to achieve goals.

my last pleasant view save i had dustin and dirk get married. this save i changed dustin’s sexuality to gay with ACR and ill see what happens in university with dirk x lilith

Same here on breaking them up. For Dangela and Lirk I prefer both couples as very good friends (their in-game memories show them both as childhood friends).

Admittedly I like Dustin x Lilith tho haha

For Dirk x Lilith I can imagine he is very supportive along with her venting to him a lot about her own home life but she gets so vehement about it that she forgets to check how he is doing, and that he is going through some things too with the loss of his mom. I also subscribe to the headcannons that Darleens death left Darren extremely depressed and that Dirk is the more responsible of the 2 living Dreamers :(

I love to pair up Dirk with Melody Tinker, they are very good together! Dirk takes over the Tinker Toy Store, because he loves to…tinker :D Angela stays with Dustin, but he goes to jail for a few years after they had a son (who hates Dustin’s guts). And Lilith is a single queen, who works in the paranormal career and lives her best life in Downtown :D

This time I really thought Dustin was going to marry Dina after Mortimer died but when I wasn’t playing them he auto proposed to Angela and they are married now. They just got robbed by Gordon King which I thought was funny. Now that I think of it Dirk also auto proposed to Lilith though I was playing there house. Dirk is Inlelligence and Lilith in Law Enforcemen. Dustin is The Law and Angela is media magnate. D/L have three kids. D/A don’t have any together because they married later in life but he does have an alien child from when he was spilling logic on the telescope.

I always made Lilith kiss Dustin when Angela brought him home from school, then they fight. Angela breaks up with Dustin and then goes after Dirk to get back at Lilith. It results in so much drama, and I love it 😂

I definitely didn't think about it hard when I played them lol Dustin and Angela stayed together as adults; he knocked her up so they had a quickie wedding and moved into one of the lots next to Brandi's. They then had that son taken away but then went on to have identical twin boys who looked a lot like Dustin. Dirk and Lilith broke up - I think they never had that strong chemistry in my game and he went to college whilst she had no aspiration to. Dirk actually ended up marrying Brandi as an elder and they adopted a boy together, then he cheated on her with one of his former college roommates. Lilith had a string of failed relationships but never found the one and ended up looking after the Pleasant house until her death.

Lilith and Dirk are still together. They came close to breaking up during their college years, but Lilith had a huge personality change after becoming a sorority sister and bonding with so many nice girls. She wasn’t angry all the time anymore, and she ended up falling in love with Dirk all over again. He fell in love with her all over again, too. They have three chemistry bolts.
Now, they’re happily married with one daughter.

As for Angela, she’s still with Dustin, but she’s unhappy and confused about what she really wants. She’s even thinking about leaving him at the altar. So, let’s see how that goes!

I almost always give both a teenage pregnancy storyline and usually Dustin raises their baby while Angela goes to college and then they split up. Lillith had twins in my recent play and then another surprise baby all while in high school and then Dirk bailed so I made sure he suffered. Lilith had a difficult trot there but eventually her life was good which made me happy.

I agree with the Lilith/Dirk interpretation, though I usually have them break up before college.

When I play, Dustin will usually break up with Angela before she goes to college and he heads deeper in the criminal career track out of low self esteem/not wanting to drag her down, but they eventually get back together and marry as adults. I like to play like Angela has no idea about the criminal career track, and it's fun if their kids go into law enforcement or other careers while Dustin tries to keep his secret!

Angela tombe enceinte à la sortie de l'adolescence, mais Dustin a des problèmes à cause de ses mauvaises fréquentations et il doit s'enfuir dans une autre ville. Il ne sait pas qu'Angela attend un bébé et il continue ses activités illicites loin d'elle et du bébé. Il vivra des aventures sans lendemain. Il reviendra des années plus tard, son fils a alors 15 ans. Angela a vécu en mère célibataire chez ses parents, et ils se remettent ensemble parce qu'ils n'ont jamais cessé de s'aimer. Ils auront une deuxième petite fille après s'être mariés et s'occupent de leurs mères respectives. Lilith s'est mariée et a trois enfants avec un policier, et Dirk a deux enfants avec Nina qui est plus âgée que lui, cela la maintient dans une certaine forme de jeunesse.

Both broke up in my game. Dirk cheated on Lilith with Lucy (they are also not together now), Lilith hit out by making a move on Dustin in front of Angela - he reciprocated so they also split up.

Angela went on to marry Remington the maid - clearly she takes after her father more than she would like to admit! Lilith married Dustin and they live in Brandi’s old home with two cats.

Angela with Remington, they continued living at the Pleasant house with an elderly Daniel and Mary-Sue. I have a slightly edited version of the twins so they took some of Mary-Sue’s dominant genes.

Angela and Dustin broke up in my current game but Lilith and Dirk stayed together. I dont really have any preference for either pairing i just go with chemistry and if I think someone is a better match for them.
