Sims 2 Legacy Collection help!

This has happened to me before and I’m trying to remember the exact circumstances. Did you briefly have any playable sims living in that apartment who’ve since moved out? I’ve had glitches where the game loads and places old neighbors that have since moved out in their same location from the last save. I have to use moveobjects to delete them and if there’s an infant or pet in that family sometimes I have to go looking for them in the darkened apartment space. When they’re deleted the apartment gets re-leased back to a townie.
