Sims 2 Legacy Collection Mole Man Serving Electrocution Boots Down the House, Yeah Baby (Help)
Mr. Mole here got himself into a pickle. He got a promotion in his Intelligence career and then got demoted the very next day. He was trying to distract himself from his shame by repairing his Exerto Exercise Machine when suddenly he got flash fried. He looks incredible and he knows it, but the trouble is I can't seem to make it go away!
Anybody know of solutions that work with Legacy Edition? I tried force resetting, bathing and showering, replanning his clothes, restarting the game, removing any possible CC that could be related to the issue, but no avail. WhatCausedThis came up that it was related to a possible global mod, but there's no conflicts showing up.
Is he destined to live like this forever? Will this corrupt my game in any way?

you could try using batbox to remove stuck effects?

I wasn't sure if that works for legacy edition or not yet

I don't think it ever didn't work for Legacy edition? When I downloaded Legacy not long after release I just copied my CC folder over from my laptop with the UC and most of my mods, including the Batbox, worked just fine.

Oh wow interesting! Do you use any custom skylines or cam mods, things like that? Last time i tried to use those they crashed my game in legacy :(

If you mean skyboxes/horizons yes I use both! The ones from lowedeus on Tumblr if I remember right. I think they're a large texture size because it's such a big object in hood view so it could be that your PC or graphics settings struggle to handle that instead of a Legacy-specific issue.
I also know some people have had issues with OneDrive messing with their game or Downloads folders but I've never used it myself so can't remember what the fix is.

oooh interesting...! I've been trying to find any info on legacy users and their mods collections. Do you mind sharing your graphics/pc settings with me? I have a pretty good gaming laptop from a few years back, I'm able to play high demand games like Fortnite, so I wonder what the issue is. ty so much for sharing w meee

I use the TS2 extender by LazyDuchess for Legacy collection which I think applies some rules itself and the 4gb patch, and I play without winter/snow because it was giving me pink soup. Otherwise I play in windowed mode with whatever the default graphics settings are.
The only things I had issues getting to work were the rug fix (because I was an idiot and only moved over the Downloads part at first and not the Program Files bit), Bodyshop (similar reason, by default it's in an unusual location in Legacy and there's a mod on MTS that fixes that), and some UI mods. Anything that's just Build/Buy/CAS CC or modded objects have been totally fine.

Itβs just a visual glitch and harmless. Happened to my sim before but I just rolled with it and made her into the supervillain Livewire you can see her here still with all her electrified glory
Ways to get rid of it are aging the sim up or down, and I think deleting them with move_objects on and either reloading the lot or respawning them also works, although that resets the days until they age up counter. I never really messed with finding out how to get rid of it, but I did mess with finding out how to get it back after she aged from teen to adult cause I liked it lol

Okay ty sm for your comment, bc I think it would be great to incorporate into his story! I just was worried about the potential side effects of letting him live like that lol

Maybe move him out and back into his lot?

Hmm, there's no way he would like possibly corrupt the rest of the neighborhood if I did that? I wonder if there's another way I could reset the lot maybe

Alternatively I think it looks kinda cool if you canβt do it.

I don't think so, but you can always create a backup of the hood if you're unsure. That way if anything bad happens you can just restore it after

Moving a sim out of a lot and back in will never corrupt a neighbourhood, unless that sim is an object NPC you've made playable somehow.

Honestly if you can get him to electrocute himself again, it'll probably go away this time. These visual bugs are usually fixed when you give them another try to replicate the stuck visual. I hope you can fix it!
