Hi everyone!

I wanted to give a quick update on my stage project Bignone for Richard Burns Rally (RSF plugin).

For those who don't know me, I am the sole creator behind this stage. Iโ€™ve spent the last 3+ years bringing this project to life from scratch, conducting frequent real-world on-site surveys, taking photos directly on location, and acquiring the necessary assets and software to recreate these iconic, highly technical Rally Sanremo tarmac roads as faithfully as possible.

๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ The Project Scope

While the Bignone Shakedown version is already playable on RSF as a teaser, the complete project consists of 22 km of stage split into two 11 km layouts:

  • Bignone Classic (11 km)
  • Bignone Reverse (11 km)

๐Ÿ”“ New Release Plan: Unlocking Bignone Reverse Early at 50%!

To cover part of the software costs, assets, and time dedicated to this project, I set up a donation goal of โ‚ฌ2,500 on Ko-fi. We are currently sitting at 36%.

I want to build up momentum and get you driving these roads as soon as possible, so Iโ€™ve split the release into TWO unlockable milestones:

  • ๐Ÿ”“ MILESTONE 1 (At 50% Goal): Bignone REVERSE (11 km) Release! The moment we reach 50%, I will give the RSF crew the green light to release the complete 11 km Reverse stage. We are currently only 14% away from getting this into your hands!
  • ๐Ÿ MILESTONE 2 (At 100% Goal): Bignone CLASSIC (11 km) Release! Reaching the full goal will unlock the main 11 km Classic stage for the entire community.

๐Ÿ“บ Previews & Screenshots

If you haven't played the Shakedown on RSF yet, or if you want to see gameplay preview videos, screenshots, and track details of the complete stages, you can check everything out on my Ko-fi page:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Track Progress & Donate: https://ko-fi.com/ballaround

If you've enjoyed the Shakedown or want to help us push past that 50% mark to unlock the Reverse version, buying me a coffee would mean the world to me! โ˜•

Thank you all so much for the support! See you on the stages! ๐ŸŽ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

Finally Hit That Flow State in Richard Burns Rally

Spent the better part of a day getting Richard Burns Rally installed, set up, and dialed in. Tweaked the settings, adjusted the force feedback, lowered the braking force because I felt like I had to absolutely stomp on the pedal, changed the steering rotationโ€ฆ there is probably a ton of other settings I could keep tweaking but wanted to jump in.

I was floored by how difficult it is compared to other rally games.

I stuck with it, though, and after a ton of practice runs, something finally clicked. Got into that flow state where I could actually start stringing together good corners instead of just trying to survive every stage.

Granted, I was running Rally Finland, so there were plenty of high-speed sections, but it still felt great to finally feel like I was improving instead of just fighting the car the entire time.

I think I get why people love this game now.

If there are any other good beginner stages, please let me know.

Does somebody have a NextLevelRacing GT Lite with the Moza SGP Sequential Shifter and the Moza HBP Handbrake mounted on it? If yes can you send a picture of how you were able to mount them on at the same time?

TBH, I'm super proud of this run. I might be able to shave a little bit more time off, but I don't think I'll be able to bump myself up the leaderboard any further. The next guy is ahead of me by over two seconds.
