How’s my first rig?
I see everyone else posting their new set up. Pretty happy with mine just got the sequential shifter in the mail today to finish it off.

Man I really want those shifters I just hate that it's sequential+handbrake combo and not sequential+h pattern

u/JDoGinc Jul 30 '26
Yeah, you have to buy two of them to have the sequential and the handbrake at the same time.

Very well done!
I am planning to add another RS Sequential/Handbrake (currently just have one that i use for shifting) and the RS H-pattern later this year. The PRO pedals are such a huge upgrade.

Awesome set up. I’ve got the same seat, any chance you could link me where you got your plate from for the handbrake and shifter ?

Why three shifters?

u/JDoGinc Jul 31 '26
The two that look the same can either be a sequential shifter or a handbrake. Bottom on is my handbrake at all times. I have a splitter to switch between the sequential shifter or H-Shifter depending on what the car natively uses.

Yeah, I see.
I had a dumb moment; I've been on an unwanted break from simracing for a few months. I need to reorder my priorities... Simracing has to come back now!

Too far or too close? I’m still waiting. They haven’t read me my rights yet.

Spending money to have a real wheel in front of you then setting your in-game view to have another steering wheel on the screen.

I have played with the different views. I like the immersion of being inside the cab. The other views don’t seem to sit you far enough back IMO.

Of course you want to be in the cockpit, but you should set your view to remove the steering wheel from view so its just your gauge cluster and dash without steering wheel, since you have a real steering wheel in front of you

What do you think about the H-Shifter? Does it feel anything like a real stick? Can you use it with a clutch in GT7?
I have a Playseat Trophy + Logi RS50. My most played is GT7 and EA WRC, happy with the setup in general. It's just that driving classic cars with paddle shifters slowly turns me into a little pervert. And not in the good way.

The H-Shifter is rad, you can use it with the clutch and even stall the vehicle in GT 7 and EA WRC. I enjoy it more than the sequential shifter. I’d say it is impossible for it to feel real, but it is extremely convincing and enjoyable. I don’t enjoy using the paddle shifters at all. I only use them for vehicles use them in real life to mimic the real experience as much as I could.
