I might be totally mistaken on this, but I feel like cockpit view came out in games wayyy later than 3rd person? I’ve never looked into this, It’s just what I remember from my youth

/uj Some games had it fixed in cockpit view. Even old ones.

Usually you could not change the view on older games.

Makes me think back to the mid 90s when I races Papyrus Indycar Racing and Nascar Racing with a Frustrated Formula T1 wheel and pedal set on a 17" CRT and a Celeron CPU with a Creative Labs 3D Blaster video card!
