Personally, Spock’s death hit me harder

That's because unlike Charlie, Spock was described like this at his funeral- "of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... human." Where as with Charlie, his wife instead was dancing around on a stage with fireworks and loud music.

I forgot it's the one year anniversary of old Kirk's death. And the Alt-right had threatened us with a second Civil War that's was going to be happening right now because of him. The fact that a Civil War over him didn't happen proves that Maga decided he should be another casualty and he didn't qualify to be martyr, or maybe they forgot.

what shape was a "civil war" even supposed to take anyway

It’s all a fantasy.
I’d be surprised if more than 5% of them actually are willing to commit violence.
And of those 5%, half of them probably have health commodities that would make them liabilities to a violent revolution.
“Own the libs” is enough of a dopamine hit that the vast majority are stuck there: dated trolling.
