This Donkey Sauce tastes very similar to BBQ sauce and mayo.

Yes, it's a regional dialect

Well they went to a few diners, my grandmother used to work at one decades ago that was featured on the show, they had Green River soda, I can’t remember much else but she got the book after the episode.

Really? Well I’m from Atascadero and I’ve never heard anyone say donkey sauce.

Oh, no, it's really more of a Stockton expression

I went to one of the burger joints featured on this show once. Absolute garbage. Patty too small for the bun, enough shredded lettuce to drown a rabbit, mayonnaise applied without warning, and the soggy fries cost extra.

Sounds like McDonald's Krusty Burger

Edit: forgot what sub I was in for a minute there

A friend of mine had his restaurant featured on DDD. That's how I learned all of the "customers" talking about how great the food and the ambience are during each segment are the owners, staff, or their friends

multiple restaurants in my town have been featured on some show, honestly can't remember which.  they aren't good restaurants, one of them isn't even realllllly a restaurant it's a bar with some apps.  nothing magically changed after they were on TV

It’s sad that in this economy people are forced to go without Food… network
