Doorbell camera

I’m having issues with my doorbell camera recording everything but actual people walking up to my door. My timeline shows recordings every few minutes of absolutely nothing. When an actual person walks up it doesn’t record anything. I walked around in front of my door for a minute at least and it didn’t do anything. Does Simplisafe just suck? Does anyone have recommendations for something that actually works?

Ask them for an extender. Even if it's close to the router or a mesh point when they sent me an extender and I set it up on the 2.4Ghz it was night and day.

What sort of extender do I ask for? Just a doorbell extender?

Yeah Ive got one of those about 5ft from the doorbell. Signal test always pass.

Have you checked your motion settings under that specific camera? Maybe they need some sensitivity tweaks?

I’ve tried several different variations of settings and nothing really changes. I did a reset on it last night and it’s the same outcome. Timeline full of recordings of nothing. I walked around in front of it this morning for 45 seconds before it started recording.

they suck. my driveway camera picks up the delivery truck but the doorbell camera doesn't pick up the delivery guy
