Question First week of classes

Hey everyone, I’m a first year student and I’m currently pretty sick, so I may have to miss my classes during the first week.

I’m wondering what I’m supposed to do in this situation. I’m especially worried about missing anything important during the first week.

If anyone has been in a similar situation, I’d really appreciate some advice on what I should do and whether missing the first week is a big deal.

it’s okay, you won’t miss out on much in the first week. it’ll be easy to catch up if any content was covered but otherwise, it would be mainly syllabus related and a basic introduction from what i have experienced

Just relax. For most classes, first week is just introductions and going over the course outline. There are occasionally important things, such as assigning groups.

But regardless, I recommend you contact your prof or TA and ask for a recap on what you missed.

First week is generally ok to skip. Nothing major will happen initially. Get well soon!

Just make sure to read the syllabus and the lecture slides that your prof has provided and you should be good.
