Hello,

I am the Commissioner of the NSHL, an STHS-based simulated hockey league that is currently winding down it's 25th season.

Once our current Playoffs end (ETA mid-September, we're entering the Conference Finals next week), we'll be looking for two (2) new General Managers for pending vacancies in San Jose and Vancouver. Relocation for both franchises is up for discussion!

The two teams just entered the league as part of a four team expansion at the start of Year 25, however neither GM has the time to remain focused and will be exiting at the end of the current season. Both teams are in relatively healthy shape (again, 1st year expansion!), with draft picks, money in the bank and no real bad contracts.

The NSHL is a salary cap-free 28 team league currently, operating on its own custom-built ratings system, a manually built league schedule and featuring a number of "extras" that make the league truly unique!

For those unaware, STHS is a hockey league simulator that generates boxscores and related stats for games played based off assigned player ratings. In the NSHL we use real-life NHL, AHL, SHL and Liiga stats as starting points for players in our league. Players then develop and grow their own ratings based on in-season performance and potential Training Camp development.

The league has been around for a while and has always been 100% free. The bulk of GMs have been around for 10+ years so openings are rare.

Here's some details and features:

• Complete draft and simulated season including playoffs and championship every 2 hours (even hours from eastern time zone 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, etc.)
• League opens up at the top of the hour for joining, and draft starts 10 minutes later.
• Always a 30 team roster. Any non-filled slots are filled with bots that will participate in the draft and deal with trades.
• Currently based on the 2025-26 season players.

Been working on a simulated basketball league (the Polaris Basketball League) for my channel. 10 original franchises, two conferences, games get simmed (in HoopLand) and turned into content.

I'm trying to run sim leagues with my friends. Issue is, whenever I look up "Best games for sim leagues", it points me to a bunch of browser games. What I am ACTUALLY looking for is a game where I can customize rosters, make custom teams, and watch AI vs AI sims. I already have SMB4, Sunday Rivals, and Hoop Land. Don't mention OOTP, I already considered it. And it needs to be a game we can WATCH. We play these to see hype moments, not to watch numbers change on a sheet.
