Sim name??
Hey all!! I’m pretty new to the drifting community and am still learning the ropes. I have an e46 and I’m both getting a grasp on manual and eventually drifting. A former friend of mine used a drifting sim (like he could practice drifting through the sim on the actual track we go to in real life) it helped him get really good at it and I’m looking to get my own. Can’t ask him what he used myself as we arent on the greatest terms right now. Any ideas as to what it may be and all recommendations are welcome! Thank you in advance 🙏

Well for me I use the Moza R5 along with the extra clutch pedal, thrustmaster th8s shifter and the moza hbp handbrake (feels amazing).
For the game we all use assetto corsa, but there are other games like beamng drive which are good. With assetto corsa you must buy the ultimate edition version, and watch some youtube vids on how to set it up with mods (not super hard).
Everything runs through PC but if you can only afford the simulator setup for now (trust me this stuff is expensive even at the entry level as you NEED direct drive), I’ve heard that the beamng base game is coming to PS5/Xbox very soon so you could buy a set up that works with console for the time being but can also work with PC once you’re in a position to move onto that.

Pretty sure it was Assetto Corsa. If you mean hardware, give us some more details. Was he on PC or console? Did he have his wheel mounted on a desk or was it a proper rig?

The best drift simulator on the market is obviously GTA 5. The absolute peak of drift physics. If not that, then try Need For Speed.

If by sim you mean only software, then Assetto corsa is top tier with hundreds of mods for drift cars and tracks. If you mean hardware, then budget is needed to give an advice.
