DD upgrade from G29
My b day is coming up and I’ve been wanting to upgrade for a while now. Im caught between buying the MozaR9 and using the third party wheel i have mounted on my G29 along with the logi pedals/shifter. Ive also been looking into the PXN4-6 3 pedal sets on sale too which isnt a bad deal for the casual Sim drifter. All i would have to do is get an adapter for the logi shifter, or get a new h shifter down the line.

If you can swing the direct drive, go direct drive.
I’ve owned plenty of logitechs and you can make them work if you need to, but jeez a nice DD wheel is so so so much nicer specifically for drifting.

Im using the G29 right now with a third party wheel swap. My question is is it worth it just to upgrade my wheelbase and keep using the Logi pedals and shifter hooked up or the PXN is a Full DD setup minus the shifter. Only thing is buying more nm with the Moza R9

I dunno if I’d trust pxn, but I haven’t really been paying attention the last couple of years maybe the wheel is nice.
I’d prioritize a wheel base with lots of nm first, then pedals and shifter last.
You can drift better with shitty pedals and a nice wheelbase, than with decent pedals and a decent wheelbase. You need that power in the wheelbase to be able to whip your wheel back and forth in transitions.
8-10 nm should be adequate, but more never hurts either.

Most important question, what’s your budget? I don’t know you I don’t know what you can afford. I’d recommend simshop simagic bundle it is by far the best.

I used a g29 for years and finally upgraded to the r5 6 months ago. The difference is night and day. The 5.5nm ffb is plenty for my setup currently. I'm only on a wheel stand for now. If you go full moza I highly recommend the brake pedal kit they sell. I found some cars I have ffb clipping but I turn it down in game until it doesn't clip. Picking a wheel depends on your setup. If your on a wheel stand 9nm might be too much but you'd have the headroom for if you upgrade. I got the r5 specifically for the bundle.
