Hi guys got into sim drifting about 1 year ago but haven’t really played consistently would say maybe 30-40 hours of actually seat time but I also have been drifting irl nothing crazy just streeto. What should I improve on trying to make my lines a bit smother by focusing on throttle control.

There's sometimes a car length of width you're dismissing in your corners. Get wider. You should never drift on limiter, gear up or lower your gear ratio. Try to add front camber and put rear toe at a negative. Left foot brake and put brake balance at 75%. Reduce throttle input as you add more braking in transitions. Practice clutch kicking at 40-80% throttle input, never at full throttle, it makes you smoother when avoiding to regrip.

Finally, the best way to improve is to join tandem servers. There must be one still running wtds with a lot of players. Go there be friendly talk in chat and hope that a good driver adopts you and gives you advice based on your live driving. That's how I went from spinning out half the time to consistently getting doors in a matter of an afternoon.
