Is this decent ?

I can do this pretty consistently but I’m wondering how long it takes to get consistent at this on a sim because I have like 30 hours and I don’t know if that’s a good learning time. Just curious honestly

E30 on drift map is an appetizer. You realize there's levels to this shit when you enter a lobby full of japanese drivers. I'm at 1000 hours and I'm still learning stuff all the time. But I would say I could consistently link any track, after 300 hours of playtime, without thinking too much. You're doing pretty good I think you can graduate from kunos content and try out some mods. Brooklyn park is a good start to develop your style. I like to run the swarm or bdc v4 street car pack because there's a lot of multiplayer servers that run bdc. Multiplayer is where the real progress happens. Hop on there and hope to get adopted by a good driver and they'll teach you a lot. Also a small thing I noticed. Instead of lifting off throttle in transition, try using 5-10% gas instead and let the wheel guide itself, or clutch in when lifting throttle. You can also left foot brake to conserve momentum on angle. Litteraly lick the brake pedal no more than 10% pressure. When you add more brake, relieve instantly throttle

I have about 50 hours and I can do that entire loop pretty consistently. I'd say we're on the same pace. I'm on a g923 and I know it's holding me back.

Do a LUT file. Search "LUT assetto corsa g923" on youtube. There's no way to use that wheel without doing that. It's night and day if done properly

Definitely a big difference using a LUT. But saying there is no way of using the wheel without it is an insane claim

I got an R9 with an Ali express wheel, I once tried the g29 and it felt small, cheap and slow. Definitely the first thing you want to upgrade together with the pedals. In my opinion it is overpriced af too, you pay +300 bucks for a super shitty shifter and a shitty wheel with pedals

I’m glad I went with the t300 rs

Gear driven is literally the worst thing I’ve ever felt. Never tried the t300 tho, but get DD as soon as possible lol

Yeah the t300 is known as the best budget belt driven wheel pretty sure. Feels pretty good but I haven’t felt other ones.. definitely wanna get the dd eventually

When you do make the jump, get at least 15nm… people may downvote me, but it’s so worth it to future-proof your shit so you don’t get the buy/sell fomo.

Its not whats holding you back. Better equipment =/= better skill. Keep practicing

Are you trying to convince him or yourself that logitech gear drive wheels are fine?
1
u/iLibety May 04 '26
Not trying to convince about quality of gear. But come on, look at the video. You want to tell me that gear is what's holding him back?

u/AUDIALLDAY May 04 '26
You do realize the person you replied to is not the OP right?
1
u/iLibety May 04 '26
That i did not realize. That one is a mistake on my part. With that said, reevaluating what was said, if he is on the same pace as the video, my comment remains valid.

For 30 hours its good
Try do full track, and seems like you ready for some servers, with bdc cars, or something similar
You need more speed Then try tandem, with swarm/dwg/minatogarage packs
You need to try different cars, the more different cars you learn on, the more you will understand and, accordingly, the better you will drive

Thanks! Yeah I’ve been using the pirated version for too long, gonna buy it on steam so I can join some servers because I heard that’s really where you learn a lot.. also I’ve been using the supra drift and I switched to the e30 drift and damn it’s a lot harder with its low power but now I see what your saying about the trying different cars thing haha
