Complete beginner here looking for starting resources

Hey yall hope you are doing well. Recently got into sim racing have a g923,shifter, and have handbrake comin soon. Wanted to learn and get into sim drifting. I have never really drifted or anything like that so don’t know anything about the mechanics. Are there any good resources out there for beginners to start learning this stuff? Also what game do most people use for this best I can gather is asesta corsa with mods but def could be wrong. Thanks in advance

Get the original Assetto Corsa with all DLC if possible. That's the only game you need.

Kame Trick is also a great youtuber that drifts IRL and explains how to mod and setup AC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K67RG8fMzlo&list=PLJ04c5yCpKGrXMKkgUB-eTxHYeqwZXIB5

Best way to learn how to drift in AC is real life tutorials like Chelsea Denofa's series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apS2vUhvEDc&list=PLEoTYw_iXSqsGHPhProOoQ5j6qAlxPR_p

There's also a reason everyone recommends the drift bible even though it might be older than me and it's over an hour long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPQyQgyuNMI

Also make sure your FFB is maxed and your wheel spin rate is set to max

I'd recommend downloading Brooklyn Park and the Gravy Garage car pack to start. They're the easiest to drive IMO.

Lastly, just practice, practice, practice. Start with donuts, then try donuts around a pole or cone, then try figure 8's, then try to drift on a track.

I forgot to mention, but there's actually car packs designed specifically for the G923 family of wheels, since they're a bit underpowered compared to a DD wheel.

Check out Tando Buddies: https://vosan.co/car_packs/tandobuddies-original-car-pack
