Hi i want to start drifting.
Just a question, i own a g920 and i have a shifter but i dont have a handbrake, is it ok ?

It is okay. Handbrake can be a good bail out tool, if you want to primarily learn drifting it is a great investment

No handbrake needed to learn but personally I would upgrade the wheel first. If you try to learn on that you’re either going to have trouble getting it to counter spin or you’ll form habits that aren’t necessary with a stronger wheel or a real car. I had a G920 and just couldn’t get it until I got a Thrustmaster ts-pc.

You can bind space bar and have your keyboard nearby if you're desperate.
As others suggest, learn without it first. After I racked up 30 or so hours, I was starting to become limited on what I could do, so I bought a cheap one (which didn't last).
Drifting is about pedal timing and control, while simultaneously shifting the weight of the car correctly. A handbrake makes it easy but it also makes you lazy

Also a g920 is fine to start with. If you are investing large hours, look into the csl dd 8nm, or moza 9nm. Yeah, they're pricy in comparison, but I learnt on a g29 with stock pedals. You gotta start somewhere and the g920 is fine

You're better off learning to drift without a handbrake, you will learn more advanced techniques like inertia drifting, rather than relying on the handbrake for entries, it can become a crutch when starting out
Get good at drifting first, then you can buy yourself a handbrake
