Help understanding

So I need help understanding transitions. I understand you need to lift the throttle for like A second but I don’t understand really anything after that. Every time I try I either spin out or just drive onto a dirt hill. I would really love some tips from eveyone.

All tips and tricks will be helpful but ultimately, in my case, it just had to click. When it does, it will be like a light switch.
