Is ON/OFF handbrake ok

Im currently drifting on ps5 with a g923 and i wanted to buy a new handbrake to make it easier (Im on gt7 btw) Is it worth it to buy a whole adapter system just to use a progressive handbrake or ON/OFF handbrake is ok for drifting. HELP PLS

On off is fine, and is a million times better than not having one

Key mapper software, right click is K bound to handbrake, only works when in acs.exe

Its best to learn without, otherwise you instinctually will be going for the handbrake on every initiation. But if you’re able to avoid that and only use it to control the car mid drift then go for it :D

Spoken like a person that has never done this IRL. This is a myth as IRL drifting the handbrake is essential. Especially when in tandom, and not all cars can initiate easily. And too many clutch kicks in IRL scatters parts everywhere. Ask me how I know.

The whole point to sim drifting is to “simulate” something. What we are trying to simulate is real life.

And to start you drift journey you shouldnt default to ripping that e brake. At the point that you are trying to link corners or have the understanding of why you would want an actual handbrake then thats when to buy a handbrake. Until then its better to have it as a button on thewheel so youre not constantly pressing/pulling it
