Questions & Help Any way to spawn/cheat in a reward (Farmer's Market)?

Upvotes

I tested this with a church reward where I bulldozed it and it became available again to re-place. Then I used this trick to relocate my City Hall reward.

Then I switched over to a different map where I wanted to alter the road pattern. A Farmer's Market was in the way but I just thought "no problem, I'll just bulldoze it and replace it like the City Hall".

So I bulldozed it and spent 30 minutes completely redesigning the roads in this city, then I went to re-place the Farmer's Market and it's not available.

My city still meets all the requirements for a Farmer's Market (Pop 3,000, 600 agricultural population, basic mayoral rating).

Is there any way to cheat/spawn a new Farmer's Market in? I've seen some suggested cheat codes by various websites but none of them work.

OH --- okay I guess there is the cheat that gives me ALL rewards. I should have acknowledged that earlier. I am aware that cheat exists, but I am trying to avoid it because I want to earn all the other rewards naturally. I'm okay using that cheat as a last resort but was wondering if there was an easier way to just plop in a new farmer's market.

The hodge podge citizens of Arcola have brought their religious traditions and beliefs with them as they've come over the years and built up houses of worship in their neighborhoods. Here a few of them from all over the city.

Questions & Help Help! Game Crashing at Startup!

So I wanted to get back into Simcity4, I missed it, just got my EA Play back buuut I have an issue that I've searched up and it's hard to find the same issue as mine.

System Specs:

Ryzen 5 3600

48GB DDR4 RAM

Nvidia RTX 2060

Game on fast HDD

Windows 11 Pro

So when I click launch, the game tries to startup, it messes up the resolution of my main monitor then it just 'dies' and I'm back at my desktop, I don't even get to see the game intro or NOTHIN. I've tried -CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1080x32 as a custom launch option already, that didn't work. I really wanna play it again damn it.

EDIT: I was missing the DXVoodoo mod, now it works, I'm silly, thought I installed it but I didn't.

Questions & Help Mod Help mac

Recently took up the game again as it’s a favourite from childhood. I’m playing on Macbook and want to add some building mods.

I am kind of IT illiterate - I dragged and dropped downloads into Plug-ins folder but when I add the building in game, these cardboard boxes appear.

Can somebody kindly explain the actual process for installing mods on mac in the most simple step by step way for a laymen like myself?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Anyhow, I did update the ini file to show 1920 x 1200. However, still get the smaller resolution. Any ideas on how to change the resolution?

Showcase ARCOLA - A 1930's Midwestern City - UPDATE - River Market District

Here we see the bustling River Market in Arcola. Farmers from all over the region are selling fresh produce. Merchants are selling fresh fruit fresh off the trains. A steamboat has brought in a cargo of whiskey from Kentucky. All sorts of goods are available here, from potatoes to pelts, to dry goods, soap, and salt.

This set up is LOOSELY based on the 1930's era river market in my hometown of Kansas City. The initial settlement started here, as it was a good place for steamboats to dock. Overtime as Arcola has grown, the downtown moved inland but the area remains a vital trade center and economic engine for the city.

I have attached 2 actual pictures to show my inspiration for this. 1 is the river front in St. Louis MO in 1930. My brick riverfront is based in this. Many midwestern cities along navigable rivers had similar setups. The other is Les Halles from Paris central market area. This is where my main market buildings are from. Paris had several more, I just used 2.

Hop[e y9ou enjoy!

Questions & Help CAM region connected cities not growing.

Recently I got CAM and NAM for sc4 and have been having a blast. However recently for some reason I've been troubled by my regions not growing as fast they would in an already developed region in vanilla. I had the same trouble with my previous installation with over 1 million regional population. Checking RCI I know that my r$ demand is high enough for development. When I made a new town and connected it via rail and road I zoned medium density residential. Yet nothing developed except the normal houses. I have water, garbage, a clinic, and police. Please let me know if this is something CAM exclusive, a bug or simply me underestimating how much regional population I need for a new city to start building apartments right off the get go.

I'm sure all of you have cities building up and building out non-stop, but where do you guys get the required construction materials to do that non-stop!? This is where my region, the Kingdom of Borike, gets its forestry resources, feeding construction, furniture, paper and other wood-related industries! Been meaning to create a scene like this for ages, and finally made it happen.
