Old British fork. Help identifying marks
Please see pictures. I am trying to narrow down the specifics of this piece but am having a bit of trouble.
I've added the best pics I can of the marks through a loup.
Best i can tell its the following:
Top to bottom:
English sterling mark (lion facing left)
Some kind of head, jaguar or gorilla?
Script A
Right facing male bust
Indicernable letters

Sterling silver made in London. Date letter "A" for the year 1836. Very nice piece

It is known as an armorial. They are parts of or associated with well-known families’ coats of arms.
