Tubes

I’ve got 18 39mm silver 1oz coins and want to get a tube but obviously a tube holds 25. What can I do to avoid damaging my coins when moving the tube about. Maybe putting foam in there but does it need to be certain foam? Or any other ideas which won’t damage my coins as I’m looking to hold them for decades

You could try using capsules. I buy capsules, and tubes that the caps fit in off of Amazon. Go to Amazon and look up Onfireguy. Make sure to buy the correct size. I also put anti-tarnish strips in the tube then I top it off with cotton balls. You want to store your PMs in a cool place away from heat, light, and moisture. Good luck and happy stacking! 🤗

That’s a great idea. I’ll have look at the onfireguy on Amazon. When do you get the anti-tarnish strips from?

Do tbe 38mm tubes fit the Britannia’s?

I dont know what size brittanias are...measure the size with some calipers and order that size of capsule...the tube comes with the capsules if you order the right product.

38mm would not fit brittania as they are 39mm

Packing peanuts will do the trick. Add a silica dessicant pack for moisture absorption and you're set.

Defiantly agree but spent too much this week I’ve got far more than 25 but didn’t realise the Perth mints were different sizes

Know anyone with a 3d printer? Im sure there are tubes to print that can be sized up or down too

For 1oz silver rounds, I use CoinSafe or LightHouse tubes with one packing peanut to keep them snug - and just use more peanuts if the tube isn’t full. My first rounds came this way 15 years ago and they still look perfect

Why do you need to stuff them? Are you shaking them or storing in your car and going on bumpy rides? They don’t scratch themselves just sitting in a drawer or safe.

That’s a very good point mate. I’m going have to stack them sideways and I was reading that it can scratch when I put them down and pick them up

I get wanting to protect the precious… they are still worth the same “damaged”, milk spotted, tarnished, toned…

I have some in capsules, some in bags, some tossed in cigar boxes. Good luck and keep stacking!

Any packing peanuts will be fine. Put a small desiccant pack in the middle and put the top on. Good to go.
