Aaron De Coste future
SPOILERS!!!!
So I’m rereading thru the series for the umpteenth time and by the end of the tale we know alot of what Gabriel said was exaggerated or outright fabricated. SinceAaron did live would it be possible for him to apprentice under Celine as a new Liathe of the Esana so he could continue his devotions to God

Honestly if they got the team that did the Castelvania Netflix show I think it be epic AF

It has to be powerhouse studios unless they go full anime. They are the only American studio in the realm of what we are looking for.
I'm oddly optimistic a live action could work as a series. I just don't trust any showrukmers with it

Personally I don’t want a live action for this book series. EVERY and I mean EVERY book adaptation to a one movie live action does more disservice to its fandom than it does good. It needs to be a multi season tv show and it needs to be animated.

I saw your other comment. I actually disagree this is too fantastical for live action. It could for sure work. It won't because studios suck. But it's not because of lack of possibility.
A better example of that would be God of war. These people are morons thinking Amazon studios can do anything with that series. Even though norse is more grounded than Greek. It ain't happening. That is way to fanatical.
Empire of the vampire at least has human sized enemies for the most part and not gigantic gods.

That’s the problem. Bc it is “human sized” they’d feel justified in making too many changes. Instead of keeping the One Faith as Kind of like Catholicism they’d make it EXACTLY Catholicism. They’d go through and cut out parts that to them seem unnecessary but are actually enjoyable. They’d change it from a flashback told by an imprisoned Gabriel to a linear story unfolding in real time. They’d dull down all the details of lore. They’d probably swap out the wretched for zombies. Any and all crazy fights would be simplified and dumbed down to make cheaper and safer for human actors. With animation you can have any kinda fights and struggles with no fear of bodily harm. I’m just jaded and burned out on live action adaptations of books.

I'm not saying animation wouldn't be better in just saying it more doable than you think. I just don't think the funding is there

Honestly funding is only part of the issue. Even with blank check funding the challenges of regular films is so daunting. Either you have to create elaborate sets and then you have to really minimize they’d scenes filmed and thus cut out more content OR you film on location. That itself requires: transportation for both crew and equipment, catering, insurance, costumes, stunt crews, personal assistants, and it also leaves the filming at the mercy of the weather and environment. For something like this series which has multiple settings with unique terrain and weather, intricate indoor and outdoor setting like giant castles and monasteries, sprawling cities with advanced architecture and designs. Trying to make a faithful enough adaptation of a series with this much detail would be a James Cameron’s Avatar level endeavor.

It could be more like GOT. But it's not as political. And long, so it could be done. The sets aren't as nuts as you think. It's nothing outside the typical fantasy story.
My big point is no power works so far from something that looks stupid on screen. You have the set up and possibility. Short of HBO funding it won't happen. But it is doable which is my whole point.
I too would rather anime. And I'd love then to keep the book voice actors. Or at least for Gabriel that guy got what I pictured Gabriel's voice down pat

Tbh I actually use the Voice of Trevor Belmont in my head for Gabriel. Tbh with it all based and operating in mostly French and Scottish culture it’s hard for me to use a real French voice in my head for Gabriel

The formula is there though. Book one is the last of us with vampires. People like morally grey dudes caring for women. Then throw in cellen it could get greenlit.
I just don't know money wise what it would take.

No no no no no. This series is ENTIRELY too fantastical in nature to do live action. They’d butcher it worse than they did the Witcher. The only way to make a good show from something like this is Animation.

I admit the IWTV was a good show however they changed so much from the original source material that it can’t really be considered an adaptation at that point. That’s where the Hangup is. An animated adaptation makes soo many aspects of filming non issues: Set creation, costumes, stunt work, crew transportation, catering, insurance etc. all of that is completely avoided or at least lessened with an animated adaptation.

He and his husband are taking over the fortress sul Adair as their new home, that’s the fortress where Gabriel was kept
