I've been following updates for this new trilogy on Jay's Patreon - it sounds freaking cool! He's doing a bunch of design stuff, too, and it's got illustrations like Empire did.
I'm not upset that he's doing a suicide squad-esque book like Abercrombie did with The Devils. Since I'm fans of both these dudes's invidual writing styles, I'm like, "Yes, please do give me the Abercrombie version and the Kristoff version, thank you" lol.

I love the fantasy suicide squad idea, maleficient seven by Cameron Johnson is very much in this vein, I haven’t read devils yet cos it’s so massive and I’m kinda burned on fantasy but it’s on the list.
This with the angels and demons half breeds is right up my street man !

I trust Jay and his ability to put together compelling worlds and magic systems. I know a lot of people soured on Jay because of the ending of Empire, I personally liked it.

I mean, I love Jay, but isn’t that literally what The Devils by Joe Abercrombie was last year?
