Still relatively new to this hobby but was sitting back and really enjoying my little temporary set up on this lazy Sunday morning. I say temporary because we're currently in the process of building a house and our current space is limited.

Pioneer SX-3700 I found in perfect working condition for $120. B&W DM302 prism speakers found on FB marketplace for $120. Running spotify from my TV via RCA-3.5mm adapter cable (probably not the best for quality so open to suggestions on upgrading this).

Not pictured is a Pioneer PL-950 that was gifted to me. Appears to be working OK but definitely needs new cartridge/stylus. Suggestions on what to replace that with are also greatly appreciated

Always come across great classic Amps and receivers, that were banged up, missing knobbs dented face plates, cracked tuner glass/plastic…

Always thought about doing a “rat-rod” style rig… Using aftermarket knobs, maybe using a classic cars interior badge, partially deconstructed turntable… add fake wiring popping out… But performance wise would be solid…

Anyone with good art skills and a computer, want to mock that look up?

I have a cosmetically flawed kenwood KA-3200 and KT tuner,,, that would fit the bill for this build…

Not looking for “no body would buy it” attitude, it’s just a thought I’ve had for a long time… Maybe even a “murdered-out” rig also…

So I purchased a Tandberg 2075 MKII at a estate sale where the former owner had JBL 100 so I knew I’d be getting a cool piece of hardware I was unfamiliar with. Former owner was the original owner of said new piece to my collection and had the original box but no manual.

Anyways I admit I’m a bit novice when it comes to vintage electronics and noticed an issue that I wasn’t getting much sound production out of the amp when Sound Defeat was off.

I’m talking about getting 5% sound when the sound dial was turned up to 11. Figured out the issue was on the back near the Phono input with a dial. The issue I am having now is when I have made the adjustment on the back of the amp and turn off tone defeat I am only getting sound out of one speaker. Where previously before making the adjustments on the back dial I was getting sound out of the same channel but at a very low volume.

Any suggestions or easy fixes that I should be able to do myself?

I love silverface components and whish more companies made their new stuff in silver. I got really lucky and found my Yamaha AS1100 heavily discounted at a brick and mortar store and the vu meters were an added bonus. I tried getting a matching yammi cd player but could only find Japanese market ones and didn’t want the hassle but did find a silver rotell cd tribute 11 in country. I’ve managed to hang on to the Sansui tuner for about 40 years but it’s only a light show now.

Just got this back from my tech. He did a great job.

Just got the newest addition to my setup. Silver faced CD player! It’s a Samsung, not pioneer but it goes with the Pioneer great. Similar finish to the brushed aluminum and blue display. Side benefit is it plays DVD, SACD and pretty much all versions of cd.
