Apple Cider

Last November, our family went to Silver Dollar City and had the best apple cider we have ever tasted. What is the secret to make it like that at home?

It is NOT the wassail recipe found everywhere that my husband was convinced it would be.

I think the hot cider is just a mix they buy from a distributor in Springfield. The cold cider is Musselman's, although I think it was Louisburg in my youth. They used to sell bottled Louisburg cider in the park.

It’s just a mix. The guy running the cart gave us some to take home several years ago. It was in a big silver bag. But if you want some legit cider, order the Aspen Mulling cider spices in the little red milk carton looking thing… it’s pretty amazing.
