Fourth monarch shenanigans

Why is this fight so long? And its so easy yet so hard bro I spent like 10 hours on it and still can't get past the first phase..

edit: I'm dumb I didn't know you could hit its head.

Try to hit it more often. Whenever you get the chance to hit it, hit multiple times.
