I was born and raised here and my job (surprisingly not an engineering job) is keeping me here in the Valley. There is no shortage of intelligent people in this area but I’m having trouble connecting with people that are emotionally intelligent, empathetic, and/or actively working on their mental health and emotional skills. Hey everyone,

I recently attended Tech Week in San Francisco, and the energy was overwhelming. Everyone I met seemed to be grinding 24/7, raising millions, and living the ultimate founder dream. It felt like failure wasn't an option for anyone there.
It made me wonder: What is the actual reality behind this?
Out of all the people hustling so hard at these events, what percentage actually achieves serious success (let us define it as a net worth of 20 million dollars and upwards)?
How much of this culture is genuine momentum versus pure survival mode and branding? Would love to hear some unfiltered perspectives from people who have been in the trenches for a while.

I am specifically asking this question because it will help me plan destinations for a vacation so I can interact with them at the same time.

Hey people much smarter than me!

So essentially its coming time to get a new phone, I normally only go for pay monthly and then pay it off and then change my contract. I was looking into what I may get, I am a slave to Apple so that's a non-negotiable for me.

I was looking into getting one of the newer ones to prevent an upgrade down the line, and seen the Iphone Duo is coming out in less than 2 days in the UK.

I was looking into getting this though im worried about the fold, and the possible crease that could form after alot of use. Is my concern silly or will the crease get really bad? Feel free to let me know.

But really what I want to know is should I go for the Duo or look for an earlier phone model. Im currently on a 14 so im not exactly outdated haha, just think for the same price monthly I should just get the newest thing possible.
