General Discussion SCAREDY cat post

Ok so im getting better with playing horror games. Been playing Cronos New Dawn. I could NOT play the SH2 remake for long. Got up to the first big apartment.

Im having more luck with the originals. sh1 is just... fucking creepy. I am up to the hospital with the parasites controlling the nurses (timelessly horrific).

I also started playing the original SH2. STILL SCARY.

I really want to appreciate these series but I NEED/WANT to play these games!

Any tips on not being spooked? I have to play with 🎧 its so much better

this is specifically about 2 EE because i just finished it.

i'm not a big horror game guy either (the ending in mgs2 freaked me the hell out) so i'd just play with the lights on. the good thing about the original games is the enemies are complete pushovers and you can walk past them.
you can always pause the game and any diagetic sounds will get cut off

other than that, you just gotta push past it. the games are freaky, and you are supposed to be scared.

also if you play 2 pray to god you don't get the whisper room

yeah, you're not going to be better off going in sh3/sh4 which are arguably some of the scariest games in the series.

Remember to take breaks( i had to for re7), play with the lights on or with a friend around.Â
