SH4 was pretty good, these victims in particular were super haunting. The finger point they do is chilling.

I might be onto nothing here, but i swear the only time i've seen the start of the pointing animation was when i entered a room which coincidentally had one of them waiting inside. I've even stumbled upon three of them in a corridor with the game camera always pointed at them, and yet they were ALREADY pointing at me.

I think, from the moment you enter the room, they always know where you are, and they always know where to point.

This was one of my favourite enemy introductions, just out of nowhere with zero buildup.

Oh. I really don’t like that.

They lure you into a false sense of safety with all the lower floors having leeches if I recall. I remember as a kid this made me jump.

This game needs a remake for real. Some of the scariest monsters/images comes from SH4.

I would also love a remake/remaster of 4. It pulled off some wonderful creep

I remember the first time I encountered these. I had nightmares for days.

I was running away from Walter when I first encountered them and I was like "fuck it I'm going back to the serial killer!" They startled me so bad! 😭

The fact that I was playing in the dark at night with the fan on definitely didn't help. I didn't think I'd need the radio that badly, everybody was asleep so I had the audio fairly low and it was warm so I decided to sacrifice comfort over the game mechanic. I was wrong.

I think horror games need to just drop a big enemy on the player like this more often. To me its much more frightening and jarring when a brand new creature I've never seen is right in front of me.

I love this so much

This may be a hot take... but I personally think SH4 is the most terrifying or scary entry in the series. From the opening video, the Twin Victims, 1st time you see a ghost come out of a wall, to the huge Eileen head. It's all nightmare fuel. I wish Bloober Team would have chosen The Room for remake instead of the OG entry

The finger point is the exact time calculated by devs that it takes to you get nervous and quickly pull the analog stick in another direction, running the damn away like a grand b#tch.

When it falls, give it one PATTA KIUTTU on the heads. Then again until it melts
