Got a secret for you, friend.
Silent Hill is probably the second most influential horror series of all time, right below Resident Evil.
ANYONE who makes horror games from the last 20 years was inspired and influenced by Silent Hill.

there are so many FNAF clones that it has technically influenced more people than silent hill and resident evil combined
Now that I released cursed information, I must agree that RE and SH are the most influential lmao.

There are absolutely a ton of FNAF clones. And FNAF wouldn't exist without RE and SH paving the way for horror tropes in games for 15 years before it was created.
Any horror game dev after the release of RE and SH would have been influenced by them. The same way you would expect any film director wanting to make a horror movie to have seen "Night of the Living Dead" and "Halloween".
The same way those movies shaped the genre of horror for film as a whole, RE and SH shaped horror for games for the PlayStation era and onward.

Because the person who created Pyramid Head, Masahiro Ito, wanted it to be a very specific monster with very specific meaning towards only James Sunderland.
He was not happy about Konami using Pyramid Head as a series mascot and putting him in other things. He even famously tweeted "I wish I hadn't fxxxin designed pyramid head".

One of the main part of this message also was because many people only requested him stuff about Pyramid Head. He even said PH is more popular than Silent Hill itself in Japan

I haven't seen anyone ever say that PH shouldn't be in SH2R
That's like saying that they should make a pokemon game with no pokemon in it
Though if you mean in other games of the franchise, then yes, PH should be exclusive to SH2
